So "Green Machine" steering but with the front wheels.

Um... Maybe.

That does conjure up an idea though. The Green Machine kart. Front wheel drive, front motor, rear (and very mellow) steering... a disaster just waiting to happen.

Anyone dare to try that? I'll put up money if someone tries it.

Well the video is a british man looking through and overpriced gadget mall. Then at the end he sits on the huge green machine trike. At least you did not miss a video of the thing actually driving.

Ah, seems fall is about to set in and that means... a cruise through the neighborhood with Sarge... at a wee bit faster than the posted speed limit.

I so love driving it.

Anyway, a few pics.

Update:

With everything kind of sitting until I decide what to do next, might as well gather the parts for the semi o'death V2.

I just love the way this whole thing sits and should do well.

For now, it sports the engine I originally used for it... a Briggs 6hp.

the semi somehow looks like quite a noisy ride ATM... personally I'd add rubber rim protection sleves

Thanks as always my friend. It's part of the deal with me too. I lose track and just go with wherever it takes me.

I had to shoot a few current shots of sarge because she's just the most fun and constantly evolving project of them all. The rest, some are dreams, some will become reality.

Honestly, I'm wondering if I'll ever build anything quite as neat really.... although I do have high hopes for the cop car.

Ok, so for a bit here, let's get into some mechanics.

I've built a ride that I intend to keep forever.

It's that special to me.

So... time to spend money.

The clutch I used on Sarge is a Noram GE Clutch. It was common for racing here a year back locally and was the required clutch. I have 10 of them.

Out of the box, it's 70 bucks or so. They do well but in my running of Sarge, she's burning a lot now. I set it to engage around 4000 rpms with the springs and some mods to the shoes... and with the gearing... well, it burns a bit to get her up to speed. It looks like this after a few good runs.

Needless to say, she's hot.

These clutches worked well for racing but for street racing, it's a little different. It's not constant top end so we'll need something different to take advantage of this GX200 I've modded & slapped on her.

(for those that want to do the math... the gearing is an 18 up front and a 55 in the rear. Max rpm is around 6100 and tires are the chen shin 12x6x6's.)

Next up, a new clutch for Sarge. Sure, I started with just parts & junk... but this will reqiure, well, a better clutch.

So it's one of two clutches. The noram Stinger... or the Cheetah.

We've used the stinger with the new racing classes here and it's quite a good set up. at 110 bucks, it holds up well and is highly adjustable.

Sarge deserves it.

I got the cheetah because it looks cool. I haven't put it on my race kart yet. Comes with 3 sprockets and engages at 4k rpm. Handles up to 18 hp. It is supposedly supposed to be very forgiving with fluctuations in RPMS too.

Update:

Well, leaves are falling around these parts and that means it's time to organize and focus on one item during the winter.

Seeing I now have the race trailer for the race karts, they're taken care of and I now have a small shop of sorts to use now... and there's only room for one at the moment.

So, it's time to put the eggs in one place and focus on the Cop car. Part for part, I have all the necessary items for it, so it's the one that'll run next. The next little while will be little items, details, etc. to make her right.

Update: (and a holiday weekend, Yay!)

A steering wheel was on my mind because I'd not found just the right thing, so something from the shed of witchery helped that problem out. An old car steering wheel, cut the center out & tack it to a much smaller hoop... this will work.

And for the shift lever, it's changed position. It's the 3 on the tree treatment for this one.

Other little things here & there, just lining it all up. This will be one bada$$ slammed ride.

Next up, more of the trim pieces need to be made, stencils for the name, etc.

Followed it all doin the same with my "ed Roth" wheelbarrel cart build. Trying not to spend money unless absolutely nessasary! Just started a post on here, looking for ideas from people like you! Love all builds!
