Hey I don't reply all the time, but I look all the time. Did you ever check how many replies this thread has? Over 500! You're awesome Kelly and we wanna know!
While we're waiting for ole' flat face... I'm brainstorming for a theme for the next kartrod.
For those counting, there are 4 kartrods currently......
......And I'm feeling the themes are the way to go.
So, we'll continue this saga with small detour. (possibly into the wrong side of town, running over a hobo, taking out an orphanage and resting nicely against a dumpster)
Give me some ideas.
Kelly

So, how far into the wrong side are we going? Baseball bat and a Swiss Army knife? Or bring the shotguns and a couple of cases of ammo?

No red baron?ever?..
*sniff*
Oh oh oh...
For the military themed one you intend to do:
How about tank treads for the rear axle...;
a second "rear axle" and some cheating with caster wheels should make a nice tank tread.

Okay I think I got carried away
Sorry
'sid
I agree with 'Sid that a half track could be interesting, but it wouldn't be a speed merchant. I've been doodling a bit on a tracked vehicle of some type using the rubber tracks off a compact excavator, and the biggest problems I've (so far) identified is that tracks are power hogs, and seriously limit any dreams of speed. I've seen some home-brewed chain types that seem to work OK, but they look pretty cumbersome to build, and most likely wouldn't pass your recycle/ re-purpose guidelines, Kelly....

Patedit: I chimed in a little late
What can I say, sometimes you just leave us speechless. You're a he// of an artist with great vision. I'm always looking at this thread but rarely comment because I don't want to just say stuff like "looks cool" or "thumbs up" and I hate to interject because it's hard to improve upon what you're doing. You're kind of out there in front which can get kind of lonely. Hope you keep hanging around.
I would love to get some of your Rods in Go-Kart Alley. I even talked to my Dad(truck Driver) over Thanksgiving about backhauling me some go-karts out of Utah but, he didn't think it would work...
I like the Hands wheels...a lot...why don't you give them to me? haha Nah, I'm finally happy with the wheels I made...finished pics to come soon.....
Yeah why not like an old school Peterbuilt rat rod or something? That would be pretty cool IMO.
Always enjoy the thread Kelly. Keep it up.![]()
... No, wait. Gotta throw another wrench in. The Blues Mobile?? ...
