I wonder if you could add a spacer of some sort to the Manco rears...
so that a racing slick will fit width wise it'd be a good theme match...
tech-wise it'd be a huge pain in the behind though (sealing that aluminium rom halves and whatever spacer you fitted in ;)

Or, if that fails.. those ballonies ; remember?
still a better theme match than those edgy slicks we all love :D

Now, what's the engagement speed on those Noram shoes?
And you are aware that every Noob that's trying to replicate that will be send right to YOUR door now, and you'll be doing the explanations for nasty ratios like these :D

Its simple. This ratio will work for this...engage at 4000 or shotly thereafter.

Noobs! This is not something to use on a yard kart. Sarge and the others are not 35mph yard toys. This takes off slow and goes fast at the top end. It doesnt drift (thats sliding to us normal folks) once there, you keep it there and drive it. Meaning, if you try it... have some space, a location where you wont kill a bystander, pet or children, and the proper gear. Yard karts on the street at this speed is very dangerous.

And chancer... nope. Not a chance. They're two different animals.

So Kelly tell us how it went back in October at the track with Sarge and that crazy 19t clutch.

Sorry, it didn't happen. Maybe some other day when it warms back up.

For now, it's like Zero Degrees here and stuff is put away for now. Maybe I'll do the ice skate thing when... or if... it snows enough.

Update:

Welp... with the new year coming along, it's time to plan on what to do.

I don't have a lot planned now other than maybe messing with my strange bomb salt flats car... and of course, my fun little rides known as Kart Rods.

With Sarge (1st pc) pretty much the standard in all I do now, the other 3 that I've been working on for a while should come into being this year.

Seeing we got a full blown race trailer for the actual kart racing, that leaves my flatbed ready for some mods. What mods you say? Who cares... it's just gonna haul some of these to that "Oh-so-cool" track in the west desert that Bret has some access to. Then we'll see how it all comes together. Of course, some style and old school treatment will be necessary on it. Watch for it, I won't say much about it but you might see it in pictures.

So, on with the year.

4 pics. Sarge, the Baroness, Unit 51 (a.k.a. Moving Violation) and the Wacthmiester. These are old school hot rod go karts.

I have the parts. I have the technology.

Kart Rods.

yea yea.

Thanks for looking.

p.s. Anyone have one of them little gas tanks like you see on my rides you'd like to trade? Huh huh? I'll give you something cool in return!

Tanks:
I know you said trade. and I know how you Roll... but there is that guy on ebay that always has those little tanks, like 35 bucks, Not a bad deal considering the shiny ones are well over 100 clams.

If only I was closer to this on ebay... the KartRod I'd make out of this vintage thing... sigh*

I do believe (but dont remember) A guy was on here just last week asking about a different kart that looked just like that. It was so bizarr I paid no attention, probably why I dont remember.
