:welcome2:, I'm back again.....

So, I bought an old school bendix brake set up like in that pic gallery, for the 32. I like that better than setting up the hydraulic set up I got. I think it looks cooler too.... It should stop with no problems.
I got my back wheels and tires on. Got some chrome crager hubba's (hubcaps).... Got the front tires mounted on the wheels, still need 10"crager hubba's..... Other than a gas tank, and a few minor things, I have all the parts needed to make it a runner now. Got the steering half guessed figured out...... :lolgoku:
Now just need a little time. My mom is coming in tomorrow, to stay a few days to look after my wife. I'll have a small window of opportunity to work, but got to clear out some stuff to work. My garage is crammed with karts and dirt bikes at the moment. :lolgoku::rolleyes:

Yep....when Jim's wife says "Bedtime Jim"......she ain't foolin' around....WAIT.....that didn't come out right.....

I wish it was that simple.... I get up early to get the kids ready and fed. Then take em to school. Then go to work. Then come home and clean up a little. Then start cooking dinner. Then bath time for the kids. Then the dishes. Then , its bed time fory baby boy..... Then a little free time for me. Free time is usually around 10-10:30pm.... My day starts at 5:30am..... Not a whole lot of time here lately. Got parts ,laying around, waiting to be installed. Just no time or energy. This weekend, my back has hurt so bad, I've done all I could do, just to function....
I'm hoping to get in some garage time this week, even if I gotta take a day off from work.....

I think you just described my days...:surrender: Not nearly as much garage time for me since the twins arrived. I have split custody with my oldest boys. They're with their mother for spring break, so I manage to get a weekend free to get some work done. Hang in there, you'll get back out there soon...

Are you still interested in this old dash?

It's scrap from a 34 Ford from a truck my father built and sold back in the 80's. PM me and we'll discuss dimensions and see if it is even possible to section it down to kart size.

Been a little while since I've been on here, or messed with my kart (or other projects). Had a pinched nerve in my lower back, and I was in too much pain to even sleep....
But, I got a little something something done today..... Check out the pics.... Will link the video in a few.... :wai:

Lookin good! Can you just get heavier springs on those shocks or do you have to add another set of shocks on the rear?

I could probably find a stronger spring, but these shocks are cheap enough, and the quality is great. Adding another set won't be much $$ or work. I still need to adjust the axle, so the tires sit about another 1/2" back. I got a lot of stuff to adjust back there, but its getting closer and closer.... :wai:
I plan on tacking the mounting brackets for the end, onto the chassis and then to the front axle. Monday, I'll try and cut out the spindle/steering arms, then TAC them into place. Then I can pull the body off and finish putting the steering together. Got some more work and pics, coming soon.....
What's that song say?..... O yeah.....
I'm SO excited....! And I just can't hide it....:bannana::bannana::bannana::bannana::sifone:

Old age is getting to me I reckon.... First my back. Now bronchitis and sinitus. Grrrrr......
Just wanted to post a few pics of what I've done, since I was on here last....
Front beam welded up, and now tacked in place. Spindle steering arms tacked on. Rack n pinion mounting plate made and tacked in place.
Yes, the plate is thin, 1/8" to be exact. There is more to come though, that changes things up a little.... You'll see..... :cornut:
