Well,he asked if I wanted to compare karts when complete, so I naturally agreed. And without further ado, here is where I'm at today, after a few hours of messin with it today while I was at work. Put the front tire assemblies on when I got home from work.... 1 day down..... So what do you guys think? Its only tacked but I can stand on it... :stir::thumbsup:

Thanks again Chris...
I didn't get a chance to do anything on it today, had to get the wifes car back on the road. Tonight I'm gonna take apart the rest of the quad and start measuring for the transposition of the steering works. Going to retain use of the handlebar instead of a steering wheel to speed build process. All the controls are still in place and quad turns easy, lock to lock is maybe 9:30 to 2:30... good turning radius, but that changed when i lengthened the overall wheelbase. .. we will see what happens. ... More tonight and tomorrow. My completion goal is 20 days. Today is day #2..... (3?)

Well, the 20 day build isnt gonna happen unless I find time/energy, work is picking up,more OT... Sunday, I completely welded up the frame and started to figure out how to mount motor. After staring at all the cut up pieces, for a couple hours, it hit me.... Today, I am almost done with the mount amd will post a pic tomorrow. Still have to figure out how to make the steering support, since my daughter isn't here,I can't do any measuring. I might just build an adjustable seat....
Plans for tomorrow include finishing the motor mount, minus the turn-buckle. I still need to add some bracing to support the very rear (quad swing arm) part. You will see tomorrow, if you don't understand. I might stick it in the blasting cabinet, if it still fits, and then prime it. I still have welding to do so i might just wait. I know it wont fit when I'm done...

:eek:sorry for the multiple posts gus, right now it's the only way I can get up some pics. Have more just didn't wanna make a ton of posts...
Anyway, I got the motor mount built except for how I'm going to adjust chain tension and lock it down. The bolt you ser under motor is holding it up and represents the turn-buckle I'm gonna put there. Maybe make something more sturdy, not sure yet, we will see. Some people plan things out in full detail. I "design" as I build....
So what do yall think so far. I think I'm making good progress seeing how I only work on it whilw I'm at work..... lol

Im sorry about the pics. If they are tiny, I'm not sure why, they come out right on my other forums. I didnt get much done today, was BUUSSSSYYY.as he#% from 6-6 .... I did manage to break out the chop saw and start cutting pieces to widen frame. I got the sides cut and welded and the pic with my hand is just to show you how how it will tie back into the main frame. I guess I'm making decent progress.....
