I unplugged kill switch an nothing but it has a brand new spark plug on it
I've seen and repaired far worse including having to make an entire main harness for a couple motorcycles. This is realllly outta my league now I’m so broke I can’t afford to pay no one to fix it feeling a little helpless at this pointtook a picture from each side but then wires look like a mess that’s for sure but there is so much going on I doubt y’all can guide me much
I said the same thing was a possibility as fornthe ignition coil location... it's under the shroud and recoil between the carburetor and the flywheel. My step dad was leaning towards saying the coil has gone bad ima try to find videos on where an what that is an pull it off my broke axel cart an see
One of those two rings goes to the kill switch I'm sure, if you ground them out (put just the cover scew in to hold them) see if you still have spark.Yea man I know nothing about engines AT ALL these are the first things I’ve ever bought.
So I took that cover off an an ended up holding my finger to spark plug I do have a spark now idk if maybe somthing fixed itself or maybe I just didn’t see the spark because I didn’t try putting my finger on it to Check the first time. An I didn’t up plug anything other that a couple wires that are around the bolt that holds the cover.
Got damn no spark brothaOne of those two rings goes to the kill switch I'm sure, if you ground them out (put just the cover scew in to hold them) see if you still have spark.
Seems to be the switch at this point of discovery, also how's the plug look (pic)
The coil is grounded where it needs to be just by being bolted to the engine aloneI watched a video a the guy said to unclip the plug that comes of spark plug wire a that would tell me if it’s bad wiring or a bad coil. But I didn’t actuall unhook anything like I say other that that black a green in second pic a that one black one in the first appears to be the ground coming off the coil maybe? An yea to be straight this is the FIRST motor I have ever touched or attempted to work on. I’m young an green
Your kills witch is AFU or the wire leading to is is FUBAR.Got damn no spark brotha

AFU = all Fucƙed upMan I’m bout to **** my pants with excitement we onto somthing **** you guys are Awsome
Plug is a new one that came with gas tank, following wire I see no nicks or anything that looks alarming. But yes this way out my ball park too so gonna have to go slow I’m dumb man not sure what “AFU” or “FUBAR” means an I don’t have a bolt meter to test anything I’m guessing that’s what you mean I’m little lost
Seems likely and if you leave the kill disconnected you'll need to use the choke to shut down the engine instead.Yeahh I left the black on an just took the green off an I got spark so I’m thinking like you said the kill switch is bad
Get me being younger you would thing I’d know these lingos lmaoAFU = all Fucƙed up
Fubar = ****eɗ beyond all repair

You could reconnect the wires and disconnect the switch... that will tell you if it's the switch or wire too.
My guess is the switch got water in it
