But I bought this today for 100 bucks. Does it run? I don't know. I haven't even seen it in person. My cousin is having some personal issues and put it up on Facebook, people were being stupid with her so I told her I'd take it.

It's a 86 Honda TRX200sx.

I would of bought it for that.

Yeah, I mean, i have no plan for it lol. But people were offering her like 25 bucks. I told her, if she waits she can probably get more than 100. She said she has the plastics also.

This isn't 4x4, but it does have an autoclutch and reverse.. According to Google it's good for about 50 mph running correctly.

Then it should be pretty easy to fix up. Should be a fun little toy, or possibly a good bartering piece to use in a future trade negotiation.

I has no charging system, no ignition system, and all the brake cables and lines are cut lol.

It can run, but do I want to expend the effort? I'm toying with the idea of making a buggy out of it.

Well then it seems there is a lot more work to fix it lol. I was figuring it was mostly complete, but guess not. If it had all the parts you could probably get it running, the little hondas are hard to kill.

SO was I , that's what I told my cousin, she was like, "I told you it's a project" lol. I wasn't even going to take it, but then she gave it to me, then I felt bad and gave her 40 bucks lmao.

Here's a few pics, I found a generic wiring diagram online, i beleive I can get everything adapted from one of the China Quads pretty cheaply.

IDK, I have it up for sale or trade, but the offer's are just making me angry lol. Since it's an autoclutch with reverse, I'm considering building a buggy out of it too.

Should be pretty straightforward to trace out the wiring and ignition, if you have any experience with wiring, then it should be doable. I've stripped some harnesses to make them simpler and just run the engine. The diagram you have pictured is pretty much bare bones, ignores headlights, and any other accessories.

Yeah the parts for the clone stuff are cheap as well, it looks like about 100 bucks get's it up and moving. Including a new battery.

IDK, I'll let it sit up for sale this week and see what comes of it.

I'm considering picking up a quad with wiring issues this weekend. I find lots of good deals because people have too much trouble with electrical stuff.

If I can get enough for it to cover my gas and trailer rental, it's going down the road lol.

True, someone could make something of this quad here, I'm sure it will run. It would have to be someone with more time than me though lol.

I've had some luck selling projects, but it's hit or miss took me 2 months to sell a buggy project I didn't have the money to finish, but people contacted me about it all the time. Just got so many bs offers for it.

Yeah, I flatly refuse to talk about price before someone has shown enough initiative to actually come see it.

That would make a awesome donor to a go kart frame !

I'm considering that. It is autoclutch, and has reverse, so it would make a nice buggy. The front drums are a bummer, but not a deal breaker really.
