just taking a guess but check the pickup. it sounds like the pickup cant keep up with the flywheel and produce spark at higher rpms

Are you even reading what we wrote?!?
Cdi???????
Did you put the stock one back in???
This is too frustrating!I am done trying to help until you put the stock CDI back in. The we can go from there...........
somebody called my customer from this website and said i put wrong cdi in his go kart
i ran that kart 35mph up my street and around my block with an ac fired cdi and then it cut out when i let off gas to go back to idle started it up ran it back home again 35mph
i think you are incorrect and wrong in your assumptions but just in case and since i already gave kart back and charged no labor over a month ago i figured that i had better just say something cause thats bullsh@#

EUREKA ......
kart runs was petcock whole time lol flooding carb too much but idle jet still let just enough thruough even with the extra pressure to perform but as soon as pedal is touched it floods and dies
CANT BELIEVE IT WAS SO SIMPLE

OK, after hours of diligent research I see that a petcock is the little valve you use to manually shut off the fuel supply. I don't understand how this part being faulty could cause the problems you described. Anyway, my carb is mounted directly to the fuel tank and there is no fuel line or valve so I guess it can't be the same cause.
