I also had a really cool idea for a hand brake for drifting using a brake band on my clutch

Assuming you have a 6:1 gear ratio, in my head, that clutch brake will be 1/6th as effective, since you will be trying to stop a drum rotating 6 times faster than the wheel.
For an effective drift brake, you should be able to lock up the rear wheels, and I don't think that'll do it.
But if you can make an anchor point for the band, it would make a nice e-brake.

Hey JT, I don't think the drawing has anything to do with ID'ing his own kart. He was probably just browsing the internet on kart brands. :p

That's cute man. I thought you'd at least have it colored with crayons by now.

In the end does it matter what it is.....

..And if you want to use that band brake... youll need to use it in the proper manner, by attaching the rod to the wrap side of the band.. as that is the direction of travel... not the underside...

I know mckutzy i was just making an example plus i wont use the band because its bent but i think it wouls be cool to try out just dont wanna drill holes in the frame.
Also anyone able to help ne find the model # of my exact kart because i dont think its a pace setter exactly. Considering the two pics ive found have different seat designs. But i think my kart is a ken bar or a knock off. And also it has the real kenbar drive wheel but had 3 manco wheels someone put on. Also yes it matters what it is

Well Trevor, I think part of the reason no really useful info is coming up is because your question of what your kart is is hidden in this thread.
No one could ID my kart until I made a dedicated thread asking, so I'd start with that.

It doesn't matter what your kart is, and from all the replies you have gotten, I don't think you are ever going to find out. Just let it go and enjoy what you have got.

“Pace Setter” and “Streaker” aren’t real Ken-Bar kart names. There’s a buttload of karts out there with one decal that says both “Pace Setter” and “Streaker”.

In fact, sitting in my garage is an S-365 with a decal that boasts “HIGH PERFORMANCE” “PACE SETTER” and “Streaker”. The S-365 sticker is gone. :(

Streaker is just a name they used for a series or family of karts.
