I look at other countries, and I always see houses with no fence or wall. They are open to the street. You don't get that here. Each house usually has a wall or a fence that goes round the property. In some cases, people might even put barbed wire along the top of the fence, or in lots of cases, have an electric fence. It is just normal here. You will have an intercom at the gate that you can press to speak to someone inside.

If you look at the pic below, you can see one house that has an electrified fence, and on the other side of the road you can see a driveway with a intercom

Its just normal here, but I suppose it looks a bit weird to some people

Speakin of zombies, I would think a good machete would do just fine... Assuming you would be with a group to cover your back. Think about it, a good swing could probably take a head off. Though not your crappy walmart machete.... A "custom" machete, 1/4in thick, bigger handle so you can get both hands in to the swing, blade 24-30in long, and saw in the back if the blade.... And it wouldnt run out of ammo either.

I plan to make one, for bush whacking on the property...

Then again, and AIR gun could be used with great effect against the zombies, fires about anything to fit in the barrel, something simple like a bit of wood being shot at 2000psi ought to do some damage. Now sure they might have a high ROF, but they can fire several shot before needing refilled... and a hand pump can be found for these guns...

As for defense, attack chickens. Highly trained in the chicken martial arts, silent, and deadly. But really, being out in the dingweeds we could hear a vehicle coming, and the critters would allert us of any company...

When I was there in 2004, 168 people running for government office were killed. It’s like the leader is every pole was killed. Imagine if 168 senators were killed for power in the USA during election time?

During elections they have country wide gun bans. If your caught with a gun during this time it is life in prison.

Been there many time with no problems. But I was not in the trouble south part of the Philippines. I met my wife in the Philippines. Best thing that ever happend to me.

Actually, it's 7 injured, 1 dead. Very sobering. Although Toronto has some "bad" areas, this was not a bad area, and it's usually just some crackhead in an alley taking potshots at another crackhead.

Here's the bigger problem-

If EVERYONE had guns, can you just imagine the crossfire in the Eaton's Centre (the massive mall where this happened)?
I assure you, it would have been a lot worse. I have mixed feelings about "the right to bear arms". To defend your homestead, sure. Running aroung in public, I don't think so. Woulda been way uglier.

No, but I suspect people wouldn't be very happy during the preceding week.

No doubt about it. But then you'll get that one crazy teacher


And on that note, Liberty University recently allowed students and teachers to apply for passes to carry their CCW's on campus. Professors are allowed to carry in the building.

I do not do the gun in every room thing. We only have 4 guns. Two matching 9mm handguns. 12g pump shotgun and a 30/30 lever action riffle. We have maybe 200 rounds for each. It's a short riffle so great for brush and packs a good knock down as well.

I wanted my wife to be able to use both are guns. So we decided to get a matching pair. And I deer hunt with the 30/30 in the Oregon forrest here. It's a great brush gun.

Used to have about 10 guns but sold and traded them when I got married.

Im pretty sure gun locks are mandatory in california, thats the next best thing to a gun safe. I need to get a lock for my shotgun....
