Like I posted earlier, are you going to tell the robber to hang on a moment while you pull your drywall/flyscreen apart to get your gun??

Unless they barge into the house you will not get me? I Sleep next to my shotgun leaning up against my wall. Wife's gun is in her purse and mine is under coffee table when home. No kids... At the mail box I am screwed LOL. Your right though. When at home I do not walk around armed. But lot of people do and thats there right.

If I had kids I would reconsider everything from head to toe from no guns to even moving.

I do hide the 30/30 though. I do not think a thief would find it. They would get a shotgun though for it has little value and just sits in my bedroom in plain site.

There is lots of times a thief could steal my handgun from inside my truck though. Not all places let you carry inside. One lucky crackhead picks my truck he has a little 9mm to sale. Same for anyone, even off duty cops. I do have alarm but still.

They also sale this vehical safes that have power pop up for fast access to your gun. Then you have just they regular holster on your wheel or glove box.

I am under the front seat guy myself. The automakers should add gun lock boxes as an option. The left would argue it would keep guns out of the low lifes hands. The right would be happy for it's letting you carry guns. LOL

ya know those entertainment centers with the glass thing you have to push in and then it pops back at you so it can open?thats sort of the same concept,i bang a area behind a flatscreen and the gun pops out and since i have it all at a 45 degree angle the gun slides out on a rail downwards. and then :2guns:
it sort of looks like what you would put in a center console of a car as described above.
i also put one of either side of the hall coming out of my bedroom so if i hear somethin i walk out, bang both spots and go look around.

Do you have a pic of your flat screen rail slide out system? And your bang the wall pop out setup?

yeah! I do.just let me go buy a camera first!

btw,the flat screen is just for cover,i move the tv and then theres a pop out thingy(as me and my dad call it) behind it.i dont actually hide a gun inside the tv.

you really have to pysiclly be there to understand,
the way it pops out is four car seat rails in each corner
then the gun slides out on a single carseat rail.

if i didnt delete paint from my computer*palmface* i could show u guys a illistration.

This is just... unreal.

From my perspective, I just cannot imagine having firearms stashed all over my house and in my car, springing out from secret panels and 007-style trap doors.

Seriously- how can you people live like that, in constant fear? And don't you dare tell me there's no fear. You don't have guns all over the place without the fear that one day you'll need them.

I'd move. Seriously. That's no way to live. Sorry. "Land of the free"? No. Free is walking around at night with your wallet in your back pocket and no weapons. Free is not having to lock your house or your car at night. Free is being able to flip off the a**hole that just cut you off in traffic without thinking you might get shot over it. The last "intruder" I had was wandering around the back of my property looking for his lost dog. Literally.

I need a "slowly shaking my head back and forth" emoticon.

Just my experience: As you gain the ability to protect yourself in a bad case, you begin to become slightly paranoid when you no longer have your protection around. It's a bit odd. Some people become incredibly paranoid and won't leave the house without a side arm.

In my case, I currently have 3 guns in my closet, unlocked, with ammo on the shelf above them. There are 4 buckshot shells sitting on top of the unopened ammo boxes and my shotgun's action stays open. Why? Because, I have the guns, might as well have them available if I need them. But, I live in a middle-class, suburban neighborhood, so the likelihood of anything happening is small.

How's this?

Yeah that is where I was trying to get to

I'd personally like a bit slacker gun laws
Not for protection but to get some semi autos for the emus

Four black guys just did a home invasion and rapped 2 girls living in the home at knifepoint. Happened last month about 20 blocks from me. May not happened in Canada but it sure happens here. You can call this fear for sure.

You consider not locking your home as being free? I consider it not as safe as locking it.

You consider being able to walk around with your wallet is free? Yep, it sure is. So is walking around with you gun and wallet. It's nice to have a choice.

Whenever you flip a person off there is a chance you can get shot regardless where you live.

You talked about fear? I know I own a gun out of fear. I cannot kick anyone a$$. I cannot fight a person with my hands. All I want is a chance to protect myself if my life is ever in danger. IMO there is nothing wrong with that. Just like there is nothing wrong if you choose not to own a gun. I am not going to shake my head at you. You know what’s best for you not me.

That being said I am not to BIGHEADED to see others points of view. I can argue the concealed carry laws both ways. But to tell me I cannot protect my HOME and my LIFE on my property with guns is just wrong.

Free can have many meanings I guess and seen many different ways. In this world today free to me is having a choice. A choice to own or not to own a gun. The choice to be able to decide what best for me and mine. Not what the government thinks is best for me and mine. A choice to be gay. A choice to watch porn. A choice to smoke pot. A choice to have an abortion.

About what Mat is talking about with pop-out gun rails in every room and behind the TV? I call BS on all that. It is post like this that gives good gun owners a bad name. Talk is cheap and nothing but pics will change my mind. Bang, bang and out comes gun? Clap clap and 50cal pops up from under the kitchen table. C,mon Guns behind the wall and punching sheet rock to access them? This stuff drives me crazy and it's more than likly BS. Ignore this stuff for there is responsible gun owners out there. We are not all paronoid and live in high fear.

I do not take a shower with my gun. I do not work out in the shop armed. I do not go to work armed. I go to the movies armed. I go to dinner armed. I grocery shop armed. I go to yard sales armed. I go fishing armed. I go camping armed. I am not paranoid. I am exercising my 2nd amendment right as an American. That’s as free as you can get IMO. I am not a thug and my wife is not a thug. We are gun owners by choice.

Call me crazy I do not care. I am perfectly fine to be able to make my own decisions what’s best for my family and I. If no guns are needed then let me make that decision. As far as gun case in my car? I see that is trying to help a problem from guns getting into the wrong hands so easy. Not fantasy 007 life. The last "intruder" in my backyard was armed and kicked my back door in. Literally.

Did you see a dog? Just wondering

Perhaps I lost some friends in this thread for I do not know. But before I do know for sure or lose anymore I am done with this thread. Thanks for keeping it real though. Well almost real anyway?

Peace friends see you in other threads. If I see any zombies I will let you all know.
