Ordered pillow blocks, a clutch, and key material.

On the sprocket hub, are the bolt paterns for the sprocket all the same or what? I want ones that's good but not to pricey. I need one and a sprocket? No sure on what size tires I'm going with yet. Been searching Craigslist but haven't found any deals yet.

I see you have welded your motor mount withing the bracket/frame you made for it. It would have been sturdier if you had put the mount on the frame and welded it on.

Otherwise.....good work!!

Got all the bolts I needed so far, and mounted the rear axle.

Ordered a rear sprocket, caliper and the throttle/brake cables.

Going to look at a 5hp 1 seater tuesday. All he says it needs is a clutch and the carb cleaned. Hope its not some piece of junk. The pics look good.

Also fired up the engine and it sound pretty good. From the sounds of it I can already tell it will need to be moded to achieve the speed I desire.

Got tires and wheels from tsc today, and found out the I built the frame to wide. It was at 35in and I cut it down to 28. I now have to mount the tires and not hit the frame. I guess thats what I get for not having any plans and just building.

Also got my caliper today. Tomorrow between classes I'm going to try and get the rear axle finalized and fully set up besides the sprocket.

Knuckles are from a riding mower found at my grandma's which included wheels.

Also have the steering shaft and wheel. The tie rods will be a y-link set-up. All I have to still get is a seat, and set the pedals and cables into position and finish weld/disassemble for paint.

Got and mounted the seat and steering shaft, and the brake pedal.

Tomorrow between classes ill get the gas pedal in and the pedal mounts braced. Also need to somehow key the rear wheels because when you hit the gas, the shaft moves but the tires dont.

Had to move the knuckles and reposition the tierod to the front. I couldnt figure out a way to mount the pitman arm without the steering to turn in the opposite direction of the tires.

Any inputs?

Any inputs?

Forward facing steering arms the pitman arm goes up
Rear facing steering arms the pitman arm goes down

Is there any particular reason the column is mounted so high?

Also, if you want ackermann steering, you'll need to modify the steering arms...

The wheel is not really that high. It at a comfortable angle while sitting. Idk even know what the steering i called on gokart world but this steering is called a y-link when it comes to trucks and it works.
