Got the brakes and throttle hookup and operational. Finished up the frame and tore the whole thing down to finish weld and paint. I have drove it around very little before it was finishes to make sure everything worked and everything feels pretty good.

The only pic I have is the brake cable

Almost forgot to ask. I have this oil pressure gauge that was for my truck that never got installed.. Could I just remove the low oil pressure bolt and install a gauge? I tried searching but it doesnt seem to common of a thing to do.

Great idea, but no. Your engine uses splash lubrication; it doesn't have an oil pump. No pump, no oil pressure.

You are referring to the low oil LEVEL sensor; this is basically a float switch. Basically, it's there to shut the engine down before it runs out of oil (to low a level to allow splash lubrication to get the job done).

I've got a hunch someone could write a small book (at least a thick pamphlet) on which style engines use pressurized lube and which don't; I'm not the one to do it, though (at least, not today).

Hope this helps.

I think you'll find that steering may not be ideal. I understand it is a variation of "Y link" which works well in trucks, but your angles seem a little different. normally the rod ends are 90* off from eachother, same with their mounting point. Normally the pitman arm is perpendicular to the top of the tie rods on the axle. Maybe its just the picture but i think you might want to slightely re-design

you could be right. idk, but the way I have it set up the rod ends are not in anyway binding anywhere from full lock. If it becomes a problem in the future, ill redesign and fix any problems. I wish this thing had power steering to make it easier to turn the wheels.

Ordered a stage 2 hop up kit from nrracing. I rode the cart today and with 2 different phones and different apps got the same top speed of 36mph. It needs better acceleration but it's not to bad. So a torq-convertor will eventually be ordered.

Got the kit yesterday and finished installing it today.

Night 1

Got header installed and new carb/air filter.

Day 2

Bought a feller gauge and installed 18lb spring and a new timing key. Also got a breather for the hose coming off the valve cover and put on some header wrap.

Crap video from my phone.

The mods are definaly noticeable at lower speeds and on the top end. It still needs better take-off so if anyone know of a torqconvertor that can handle the power of this engine that would be great.

I also gained 9mph and hit 44mph, and the max rpm I can hit is 3360.

So what do you think?? opinions?

No. It only came with a cooling fan and a timing key. I've read somewhere(cant remember where) that an aluminum flywheel is not needed unless governor is removed or rpm's above 4000.

I will be getting on prob in the spring when I do remove the governor.

Got any idea for a torque-converter that will work with these mods??

Are 18lb springs even needed if you are running with your governor still there?

For a TC, if you have less than 8HP then I would suggest a Comet 30 series. Anything over you want a Comet 40 Series
