I'm new to the site, very informative.
I was into go karts years ago and never stopped liking them, recently I bought a few for my Daughters, Wife and I to trail ride with.
Question is, I bought a yerf dog with suspesion and a 7 1/2 hp briggs.
Theres no torque convertor set up or jack shaft just a cent. clutch with chain to the axle sprocket. This thing has NO take off power, clutch slips bad, once its rolling its pretty quick but obviously needs work.
Saw some torque convertors like the Comet ones, but using that do I need a jackshaft also?
Thanx for your help.

What a difference!!! Well worth the money and I only moved it in the back yard!! I have to clean up the threads tomorrow, since I don't feel like going to my shop tonight to get a tap. Really feel like takin a burn down the street but that'd be stupid since the crank bolt isnt threaded in all the way (I used washers to take up the space to try it)
