HELP! Go kart wont go forward

u will have one in a similar place
but it could be anywhere along the driver

take pics of the driver and we willl tell u where to put one

as r97 said u may have to make one.
but it is easy and if u are not confident then a machine shop can do it in 15minutes for u

the nut on the end of the jack shaft should be up against the TC so they key cannot come out. the key should also be as long as it can be but still allow for the nut to be tightened.

if everything is correct, you should not need a hammer, if you do need a hammer, don't use one, find what is causing the need for a hammer, and fix it.

i always use a hammer
but not a giant sledge hammer and dead blow hammer

i find even on totally new products the key is always a bit tight

stops it coming out that way

huh, thats weird, i have never had to use a hammer, the key is usually tight, but not THAT tight.

EDIT: i suppose a few taps with a small hammer would be normal, i usally just force it in with my finger.

Ok I just got the nut off and there is no hole for a bolt, I dont have a way to get my phone hooked up to the computer right now. I can text a pic to one of yall if you pm me your number.

it looks like there is no spot for a grub screw to go

yes I established that there are no grub screw holes. So how will I make the key stay in?

u will have to get a locking collar for the inside and a big wassher for the outside

a locking collar is the pic above it will shtop the key sliding inwards and a big washer to cover the hole on the out side will stop it slideing out

there isnt a hole on the inside of the driven

between the two pully faces

so is the sprocket or torque converter missing key??? you could use a locking collar

not sure its the jackshaft that the sprocket and tourque converter is on, the key notch stretches out from the sprocket
