HELP! Go kart wont go forward

I do not know much about these things, but it appears something wrong with my torque converter. I have a Manco Warrior Buggy/Kart. It has a dual torque converter. I flipped it the other day and the chain broke off. I purchased another chain that the manual said to buy. It worked for about 30 minutes of riding. I also washed the kart after I put the chain on. now the torque converter belt spins but the drive sprocket and chain will not turn. I gave it alot of gas and smoke started coming from around the drive sprocket. Any ideas as to what this problem might be????

First- Whaddya mean "dual" torque convertor? Which model is it?

Also- any chance you got soap or degreaser all over it?

could have got soap on it, no degreaser, and it ran fine for a good 30 minutes. Its a dual wheel torque converter whatever that means haha. Its a Manco Warrior 720L-08.

Thats just what it says in the manual, "Dual wheel torque converter drive designed for hills, slopes, grass, mud, and sand."

yeah thats what I figured it meant after thinking about it haha. Ok Ill get a video loaded up soon. I know nothing about these things but it appears to me the belt is not gripping or catching on to something making the drive sprocket turn

did u regreaze your bearings and chain after the wash

I dont know it looks like it gets pretty tight when I rev it up. I regreased the chain. And yes I can still push it.

well thats weird. do the rear wheels not move at all? can you roll them.?

maybe the sprocket on the jackshaft isn't on very tight?

Yes I can roll both rear wheels. and when I roll the wheels the drive sprocket turn. Its just when I gas it all that spins is the torque converter belt. Im not sure how the belt gets power to the drive sprocket, but its not haha

well if it was not very tight would it still move the chain when I roll the kart forward?

oh. then i bet your drive sprocket isn't secured correctly

You lost your key on the driven pulley. Remove the pulley, replace the key.

i think the tourqe converter belt is way to big

Key on the driven pulley? Could you please explain? Again I do not know anything about these things
