There hp isn't based necessary on rpm but on hkw quickly that said engine acheives that rpm...with different springs in the engine u can get to a target rpm (hp) either quicker or slower that is what briggs does to determine hp

That is news to me, and I'm honestly not grasping it. Peak RPM is peak RPM, peak HP is peak HP, and if it takes a week to get there, it's still the peak.

Let's just say that I went from belief to total scepticism with the change of a spring...

All I'm saying is briggs came up witj some bs formula that doesn't really increase hp ...yet they can still get away with it by just adding a different spring to it amd charge more
