I do only have the 2 pieces of angle iron there currently. with 1/8 inch plate that goes across for the motor to bolt to. I have plenty of angle I can use to brace up with.
good point. thanks for that input. I will add support and post another pic.

it's tacked together. not welded to the swing arm yet. the only part welded to the swing arm is the cross bar along the back. i ended up welding in two L shape brackets to help support it. I may add some flat bar along the front to make sure it is solid. my welding sucks. it's painful to look at but I jumped up and down on it and nothing flexed or moved. smacked pretty hard with my hammer as well.
my next step is to set the motor in place, make sure it will be in a decent spot I can line up the sprocket on and then weld the mount in place.

that's how it has been going. I had to dial down the heat a little though. everything I saw and read about welding is if you think you are going to slow you should slow down. welllllllll. the first thing I was welding ended up with a melted hole. I got that figured out though haha

engine mount is done. welded in. motor bolts on in perfect position. I also put a metal brace on the seat. next line up the sprocket and lock that on along with the disk brake.
then the seat.

got my seat made. and installed. my disk Brake hub is supposed to be delivered today. I MIGHT be able to get the brakes done, put the chain on and fire this beast up this weekend. provided the throttle cable reaches my new set up.

got my caliper and disc mounted. but I bought the wrong length brake line. it's about 2 feet short of where I need it. so I will have to order a longer cable. get that installed.
but I can get the tires mounted. mud flaps on and chain on place while I wait

put the tires on and locked down this morning but sweet baby Jesus this heat is brutal. I'm not risking heat stroke to get this thing done today. my swamp cooler is blowing on high andim still sweatingmy butt off.
I literally have to change clothes every time I come in the house to cool off.
think my wife would object to me rolling the buggy into the living room for me to wrench on?

I feel that. I went out to work on the kart, then decided not to... I guess I gotta wait a bit.

i got the brakes one, bled and ready to go. my 14 year old looked a lot like me when my dad told me to sit there and pump the brakes! hahaha.
I got the chain on. mud flaps on, oil in the motor.
I am not sure exactly how to get the throttle cable hooked up. I may need a new one. anyone have a link handy to a tutorial or have some words of wisdom? it's the predator 459.

on another note, I messed around and watched some videos on the front end. so go power sports is sending me new spindles and some other front end goodies

thank you! I should have gone to YouTube first. this video was helpful. If all goes well and I get some free time I should be able to fire up this beast and take a test ride this weekend.
then all the fun starts for this forum trying to trouble shoot all my mistakes rebuilding this thing. hahaha I'll buy the beer.

I think I'm ready to test this beast. tomorrow I'm going to make sure all the nuts and bolts are tight, put gas in and give it a shot.

on a fun note, I saw somewhere in the forum that bicycle brake cables were a good option for an accelerator cable. so I used that option. I think it will work out just right
