Those whistles sound like diesel venturi exhaust tips. They whistle higher when the velocity is up..... but they still suck.....

I have heard about people putting spark plugs in their exauhst so it can shoot out flames. But how is that done does anyone know?

I do; it involves a sparkplug (of course) an ignition coil, a 12v battery & some wiring; do you really want to add all that weight to a go kart just to shoot flames out the exhaust?

Ozfab I think ill just stay with the go kart the way i have it. One thing is that my go kart is light. I say it weighs about less than 150lbs.

I tried stuffing a Danish pastry in my exhaust cause I wanted it to sound sweeter.

The middle part of the video was the most telling as the whistle did not block the entire exhaust pipe of the Honda Odyssey like it did on the sedan. As he revved the Odyssey and with his camera behind the wheel only, there seemed to be a tell-tale "whoosh" as he let off the gas. But we will never know because the van wasn't road tested.

Even if the whistle performed as expected, I wouldn't want that thing stuffed up the tale pipe and creating an obstruction like that.

It would be a non-performance "performance" gain if you use it. Strangle the engine just to produce a stupid sound that'll fool everybody...:D

You need a bigger hammer. It WILL move. :p

Of course I'm not there and cannot see the extent of this damage or defect. It may not make any difference one way or the other, if it's bent or straight.

No chart needed.
Your backplate sets the distance from the crank to the jackshaft.

What TC do you have?

i have a 30 series torque convertor

Ok. Now measure the center distance between the driver and driven units. Try to be exact.

Also measure the diameter of the driven unit. I'm not sure if the 30 series has different driven units but just to make sure.

The center to center measure is the important one.

The site doesn't like when I try to post screen captures from my iPhone, otherwise files for pic are normally jpg which works for me.
