I'm not even going to bother to answer your question. (Someone else assuredly will.)

But, this reminds me: I saw a guy that had a shirt just like mine, except mine was blue and his was plaid. Mine was short sleeved and his was long, he had a collar, mine didn't.

Other than that... They were EXACTLY the same!

What I meant was that we both have off-road go karts with a 30 series torque converter and a predator 212cc engine with the same gearing.

They have other differences that might affect the spped of it.

What's the difference between a long sleeved shirt and a short sleeved one?

THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! And yes, Eric already answered the question before you asked: they are not GEARED the same!

The difference is the same as if you had a 6" sprocket or a 7" sprocket.
You know... Like a 60 tooth or a 70 tooth.
It makes a different ratio.

Or say you have identical cars but his is stuck in 2nd Gear and yours is stuck in 3rd.

So he has the 6" he has a taller gear gear ratio. He would hit a slightly higher top speed.
and you with the 7" would take off a little faster with more neck snapping torque felt.
If everything else was Exactly the same. Exactly.

Which is better? well depends on what you are doing.
On an oval track if the straights are short enough the extra top speed wont help him.
and you would get out of the turn and down the straight faster.

In a drag race... well you get it.

Well when we race it'll be a 1 mile or 2 mile race. we tested his for like a mile and it hit 30mph mine was tested somewhere around 1 quarter of a mile and it hit 36 with me alone. Will my go-kart still beat his or not?

My go-kart can hit 36mph in a 1/4 mile. Thats all ive tested. I have 18 inch wheels on the rear and 15x5 in the front. I have a 212cc predator engine with a tq it has a 6:1 ratio. The torque covertor has a 7" Driven unit. My predator engine has no governor, an air filter, emulsion tube, and a jet from GoPowerSports. I also have a straight pipe on it. I use 5w-30 Synthetic oil in my engine. What can I do to get a higher top speed. I don't really want to change the rear sprocket.
Thank You,
Jason

Change the TC sprocket to larger
It works the same mathematically.
your 6:1 now is what? 72 and 12 for example.
So 72/12=6 6:1
You can try to find 13 tooth for the TC.
So 72/13=5.5 5.5:1
That will increase your top speed.
Maybe even go 14 tooth. But then you start pushing it on burning up belts and seriously losing in the take off speeds.

That may or may not even be possible.
But then you go the other way of my examples. 10 tooth.

but you will go slower than currently on the top speed side.

I've done a few modifications to my Predator 212 which are; Governor removed, After market air filter, Honda Carb, .36 Jet or .37 i think .36. Straight pipe and 10w30 Synthetic Oil brand Traveller. I put a little fuel filter on the ohv Head thing. I installed a new spark plug but it was a pretty cheap one like 3 dollars. I've read that theres a good spark plug that can be put on can someone give me information of that. I did a Top Speed run before i put the new oil in and it hit 35. Are there any other modifications that I should put on (I don't want to put new springs or new flywheel or new Rod) About the cam im not sure they seem a bit pricy.
