the idea is to use the stock drive system (i.e. the same gear ratios, pulley sizes, etc..)

the only differince is the drive belt will be shorter.

so u only want to go like 6 mph?

If it's a Peerless (Tecumseh) 820 gear box, the 017 gearset is the answer. You can get more information from the US Lawn Mower Racing Assn at http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/USLMRA/
