I'm currently building a kart from an old riding lawn mower, and I am using the gearbox :devil2:

it's still in mock-up, but i'll keep posting pics when possable.

P.S. i know, the garage is a dump:poop:

Its not that bad...reminds me of my room, except cleaner :roflol:

For the transmission, switch the pulley for a smaller one, make sure you don't turn that transmission to fast or you'll just strip the gears.

If the transmission spins too fast it strips gears and ruins the bushes, but if you gear the output shaft it puts a lot more stress on the box and you can strip gears, and split the case.
Not very suited for gokarts, even quite low speed ones

the idea is to use the stock drive system (i.e. the same gear ratios, pulley sizes, etc..)

the only differince is the drive belt will be shorter.

5 speed transmission w/ reverse

dual headlights

weather delays, sry

sry about the lack of updates, but due to bitter cold weather (and a garage thats like swiss cheese) i have not been able to do anything to the project.:toetap05:

as soon as the weather permits i will continue working.
