I used 3/4 sch 40 pipe for the u bend,1/8" flat bar for all the clips and tabs. I used a heavy wall 1/2 pipe for the pivots.

Hey guys, if anyone is looking for the same engine that big air used, I just purchased one from a company called petrolscooter.... Just google petrolscooter engine pics and you'll find it. I paid 178 canadian to my door. The only place I could find it was in the UK. I have a replica of BigAirs jeep all welded up. Next set of days off ill be installing the drivetrain. AWESOME to see that he came back on the forum and is sharing more info on his build Thank you for that!!! I'm building this to replicate my jeep..... My boy is gonna love it!!

The shocks I found at Dino Direct 14/pc..... Had a heck of a time tracking those down as well ( I wish i could find some lighter springs though)the identical tires I found at northern tool for a 200 CND. I'm going to have ALOT of questions for BigAir in the next couple weeks. Hope he comes back online
Where did you find the brake setup and sprocket? How many teeth, 72? My boy is only 2.5 so I want the kart to go as slow as possible. I found a calculator on the net that works it out for you.
The nice thing about those engines is the 5:1 reduction gearbox that comes attached.... And the electric start is a pretty nice option too
I hope my build turns out as nice as BigAir49s.... And if I can help anyone else out with anything don't hesitate to ask! I've spent countless hours researching parts and looking at his pics to build this thing.
