Looking good. You guys build houses so differently there compared to here. We use brick all the way with no insulation in the walls. I have noticed that a lot of houses in the US are just made out of wood. Creating frames that are then insulated, sealed and some siding/cladding slapped on.
Quick update:
Still using one of the box trucks while workin' on my house
After I/we (me & a buddy) replaced/updated the windows, we covered the whole house with an additional layer of insulation (top to bottom) & also taped the seams, to help seal 'er up even more
Next, we covered the foundation with faux brick panels
…& then, started on the vinyl siding.
It's a work in progress
Home repairs never end!
Where did you get the faux brick panels? Are they installed with caulking adhesive?
We have a good chunk of exposed foundation on one side of the house due to the property being on a slope. The lady has been bugging me about putting a brick border, but I'm no mason.
Those panels seem like a perfect solution.
