That's pretty thin metel. Just under nearth your previa or the corolla and weld some stuff. Should be pretty thick there.

what does the wire speed range go to? IIRC ours goes to 9 and we keep it around 3

might burn through if its under 1/16 or an inch

try something 1/8 and thicker. weld scratch pieces together.

I agree with Ed. flux core welding doesn't like thin metels.

But you can get away with welding really thin to thick if you stay more towards the thick piece, dad repaired the seat strap (thinner than a cereal box to 1/8" tubing) on my manco that way (dont trust my skills that well).

Eh... Oh, now that I remember, I have a dead mower engine (rod bolts stripped, n' rings are gone). So I have those parts... but I'd rather keep the mower deck, as it has that auto walking mechanism that works perfectly.




OH! I have the mower blade that came with it! Spring steel if I remember correctly... weld that to the side cover or something?

Snap the rod in half and weld it together. weld the cam to the crank.

I don't have a single broken rod... But I have around 5 Briggs 5HP rods, and 1 GX200 rod that I don't need...

Steel is used quite a bit for offices and such.

No, when somone says "wall" they mean the thickness of the metel. for example 1 1/2 X .120 hat means the metel is hollow and it is 1 inch and a half wide and it is 1/8 thick.
