What Fabroman was trying to point out is that your kart does not have suspension. A "rigid" frame is a chassis like yours- no springs, no shocks, no suspension.

Just be careful if you remove the governor, the powerfist clones seem to be unusualy high reving with the stock springs. Mine hits 6.5k like it's nothing and will eventually climb to
7 grand.

I think i will just leave the governor alone and not mess with it, i do not want to blow up the motor if something goes wrong. It is pretty fast already so we will see.

No kidding, eh? I have mine ungoverned and ready to drop in a chassis- but I haven't got any seat time with it yet. Have you heard this from others, or is this based solely on your own experiences?

I have some friends who did the ungoverned, sure it revs real high but it is harder on the motor to push it beyond what the specs are. Friends have said not really worth the higher reving unless you want to go faster and put heavier stress on the motor. Its a choice i guess.

Got my go cart almost all back together, motor is running great. Need to adjust the throttle cable for better functioning, trying to get the rear axle hubs to slip over the 1/4" keyed shafts. They came off easy but seem to be real tight to get back on, suggestions please i must be missing something. Want to get back tires back on and fill with more air so i can go for a ride. hahaha :toetap05::thumbsup:

Oh, we're well aware of that fact here. My comments were aimed at Exenos specifically in relation to a Canadian-only version of the popular clones. Powerfist is a brand sold exclusively at Princess Auto, a Canadian chain of farm hardware and surplus stores. I'm sure you've heard of Princess! Either way, he suggests they rev higher ungoverned than most other clones, ungoverned. I want further info on this. It could be because the stock valvesprings are a wee bit stiffer.

A thin smear of grease should do it. Also, check to see that the inside of the hub & the axle are clean & smooth, you may have a stray burr somewhere...

How do we post videos from youtube account, made a go cart video and want to upload it on the forum.

Just copy & paste the link for memory. Otherwise, click on the share button below the video

Edit: Ok, you figured it out...

Thanks man, did a good scuffing along axle to clean it up nice. Then they slipped right on easily, almost ready to go for a ride.

Yep got it figured out.

My new slicks and tubes for them arrived today from texas, they are the same size as my old tires. So they will fit my rims with no problems, They will do for now, i would have liked to go to a wider slicks all four of them. We will see how well these work out first.

Hey guys and gals, well took my little go cart for a ride yesterday. Was running great, a bit small for me with the foot pedals being made for a shorter person. I am 6ft1" tall and about 165 or so pounds, but the scarry part is i was cruising about twentyish miles an hour and put on the brakes. And it figures the brake cable slipped out of the bracket:huh:, oh great no stopping. Had to pull a flinstones to stop.:D My old heart was just pumping like crazy. Managed to stop the cart and push it back home and fixed the brake cable, going to push the brake pedal a couple hundred times before i go on another ride today. hahaha

Always double check your brakes before you go for a ride! Luckily you managed to stop without crashing into something.

Your gokart looks really cool, you made me jalous. :roflol:
Have fun!

Been a while, got some work done on the go cart. Changing the old tires and getting the old rims sanded down and in 2 coats of etching primer, going to be painting them a nice chip resistant silver on thursday. Then i can finally get my new slicks mounted in some nice looking rims.

Made some more little progress, got the rims all painted in three coats of chip resistant silver. Now i can get them mounted back on the go cart and fill them up with air again.
