Its the only way to live!! And nice! How long much did you take off? Id rather not buy a new one, so if i can dremel out he grooves to make it work, im cool with it. Im always down for customizing something so i can save money for the bigger toys. I thought crazykart would try to be slick again for trying to dremel out the dips lol!

I actually would be one to dremmel it too lol. The things you have to worry about though is how much of the tooth would be left? Is the sprocket as thick as the other one? How good are you at dremmeling?
One in the same! And im pretty sure its as thick as the front sprocket. I dont have much experience dremeling, but when it comes to stuff that i care about, best believe i will take my sweet time. Im very careful when it comes to fixing something i like lol.

I would say dremmel on then, it's just an extra sprocket anyways. Just make sure you get the distance between the tooth right, and post up pics after, we'll see if there's enough of the tooth left.

You are thinking backwards....the more you grind,the more tooth you get.....and....at the same time....the greater chance for error...in spacing..(tooth to tooth)... which is actually a misnomer.....because how the rollers seat is equally important.....
It's possible though.....what gets me is people forget that all this modern precision machinery was developed to speed up and replace tedious hand work......
Puzzle me this Batman......?? How did they build the machines?

Well please sir, explain what i should be aiming towards?making the spacing bigger?making each ramp up gradual or sharp?
While i stated before i dont mind spending cold cash or warm plastic, doing handwork to change something is a far greater reward of experience than just spending said cash. So i shall take up the task and if i fail, ill just buy another lol. Actual custom stuff is so fun.
And man followed peter pans advice by just believing in something, and itll happen! You think someone was smart enough to cut up a piggy to get bacon??

I guess because we we're both posting at once...things were a little nuts.....but....dammit....yeah....your more like me than I even realized......BUT!!!!! ....while it wouldn't hurt...(theoretically).....to make a uni-directional chain....the fact of the matter is that it would increase wear....(think about it)...on the chain.....(and sprocket) .....
But......the other side of the coin is ......it would last longer functionality.....IDK!

My first thought when grinding down the sprocket would be to make sure the pitch is right, so just g ringing down the tip of the teeth, and not the base....but ya your right, both would have to be ground down.
You may want to try and make a jig for this.
Plus machinery came about because the first people precision made pieces by hand (well duh) which lead to basic equipment, which was then used to make more sophisticated poeces, and better machines, which was then used for more sophisticated pieces and better machines, and on and on and on and on into infinity!

Ya, lol all it really is is a guide, something to make sure each tooth is relatively the same. That way you come out with something even all around.
It's simple, but do your own research into it to see if it's right for you. What I would do personally is take a piece of wood, and kind of bolt the sprocket to it, but to where you can still spin it evenly. Then on one part make a cut away that the dremmel will ride along/fit into that will allow you to cut the tooth just right (just kind of a V). Then go along tooth by tooth, cut, spin to the next, cut, so on so forth.
Someone else might be able to help you with the design, but as of right now I'm going to sleep lol. 3rd shut kills me.
