Yeah! I like them. Im just trying to figure out how id mount the springs. All this engineering im dealing with is fun and all, but it sucks when its your first time, and you are just going off of what might work. Im thinking welding a small plate at a 40-50 degree angle, and welding the bottom of the spring on to that, when i push, the pedal will just compress the spring and push it right back up. I think ill have the pedal rest like couple mm from the spring, that way it wont go from soft to super hard... Or should i get both ends of the spring welded?

You might maybe takimg some pics of that? I dont think theyre any holes, so it all has to be welded. Which is fine, im hopimg the pedal set up will work, AND, mountimg the cables to the pedals will also be a pain to do. They might habe to have tabs welded on them.. Then fuel set up. I mean, i dont need a big tank, maybe a 2 quart tank or something. I have to get the seat and pedals first to see how much room ill have between my legs while reaching for the brake.. Theoretically, the clutch will be where the brake pedal would go, and the brake would be where the gas would go, the new gas pedal will just be more to the right of the kart, so i shouldnt have to move my right leg to the left running into the gas tank, but to the right.. Cant be too far because i need to have some room for the shift lever.

Is there not any tabs welded on the right side frame tube by where the steering mount is at ?

I looked back at your pics all your pedal mounts are there. When I get home on a computer I will circle them and repost the pic so you know what I'm referring too.

Yes any shifter kart seat mount is OK. Just make sure they fit your tube size cause some are adjustable.

I thought the "adjustable" part as how much the rod comes out of the housing..

It is. But they also make specific tube sized ones also. As all shifter kart chassis are not the same diameter tubing.

I planon running the right side pedal as the gas, and the 2 left pedals will be a clutch and brake.

That's not a good idea, you will never have an occasion where you need to be on the gas & brake at the same time but, there will be times when you need to be on the brake & clutch at the same time...

Brake & throttle need to be together on the right & the clutch on the left...

You misunderstand what im trying to say, ill post the pedals actually look like, but the pedals are upside down Ls and they either point to the left, and one to the right, thats what i ment to say

:iagree:

Think of a manual car. If you've ever driven one, or even seen the pedels in one. Right foot operates gas or brake, left operates clutch.

1 freaking dollar, i know!! Lol. But yea you see the left and right side pedals, the brake pedal(right facing pedal) will be as the gas and the brake and clutch pedal will be using the gas pedal(left facing pedal). Itll be like this..

Wait... idk if I'm following you here cause you kinda confused me lol.

What we're saying is that the brake and gas should be on the same side of the steering column, for obvious reasons.

You can use whichever facing pedal you want for each, but for the gas/brake side I personally would suggest a set up like this, where yhe pedals are facing each other, so all you have to do is slide your foot over (which now that I look at your post again thats what it seems like you were saying.)

Excuse the crude drawing, but younsee how it should be set up, or you can even reverse it so the gas and brake is on the left, and the clutch is on the right.

Nice skills there Picasso lol! Jk but yea the only reason im thinking of doing the gas and pedals switched(but in there right location) is because idk if the pedals will hit each other due to them making an L shape. Im thinking of getting a grade 8/10 bolt long enough to pass through both pedals and the mounting hole, and using a nylon nut so it wont vibrate out. Idk how big a gas tank i will get, so i figured with the clutch pedal being the opposite way, ill have more clearance!
