Nate when did your engine throw its rod? I think that is a more realistic fear than the cast iron flywheel exploding, but that being said I'm still deathly afraid that thing will shoot a magnet into the back of my skull.

Global warming needs to be moved to the wheels and tire section... Cuz, it gets no traction here.

It was up around 7k that it let go. That was the second honda flywheel that I was spinning that high, and never had a problem with either, but I have a billet raceseng S1 on it now. When the rod came out it more or less just sounded like it had a handful of lug nuts in the crankcase as it was winding down, there were really no projectiles to speak of. It didn't even dent my 18 guage steel top plate.
