epa tube on briggs

i noticed a black spot on the stock filter so i just put a rubber cap on the part where the tube connects too. isnt it just a EPA tube that recycles air back into the air filter? am i going to have any problems because of this?

It recycles air from the engine oil to be burned. You need to put a filter on your tube coming from your breather now or else it sucks in dirt.

Russ beat me to it. Get a piece of fuel line and extend the breather a foot or so and you wont have to worry.

If you dont want oil everywhere, stick said tube in an old pop bottle.

Not leaks. It blows oil out of the breather tube, but only at higher RPMs.

i read on here somewhere that it made you engine run better because it only got clean air. and it was noticable..

I would just get some fuel line and hook it back up to the carb.
