Thats odd, its usally in the 2nd or 3rd hole. The last hole to the right is the right 1.

Check and make sure your throttle cable has not slipped inward. Those hold down clamps are not the best. I put a small piece of rubber tubing over the cable to get a better grab.

Send pic of you throttle cable hook up. I might see something different.

Yeap, thats full throttle to me.

A lighter flywheel always makes the engine hit max rpm sooner.
Never have I seen 1 hit max rpm later

Pull the spark plug and get pics of it.

Oh it's definitely hitting the RPM sooner. I'm just saying it almost seems slower top end, like the RPM of the governor got cut down a lil bit. I'll go take a pic of the spark plug

Ok. That makes since.

You are making more torque in the same rpm range.
I bet you have too much gear now. The engine is hitting max rpm in a shorter distance.

What's your weight??

What size tire???

Get me teeth count on both sprockets.

10 or 12 tooth on the clutch???

Those are really small tires.

I say you are over geared for the power you have now and your weight with those small tires.

That poor tire, . You probably spinning the fire outta it.

You need a tach to see where the rpm is before you can SAFELY go to a higher rpm.

12 tooth clutch. I've wanted to get different tires for a while, but the system that mounts the brake and sprocket is so weird. Kinda unique

Here my grandsons 1st one wheel peel. With a pred hemi, jus head gasket and jet change, turning 4200 rpm max.
It had 4.10/3.50-6 tires, with a 12t/60t sprockets, and it never stopped spinning.

He out grew it, I'm glad. I got tired of changing that tire.

I had to hire help.

He's got a buggy now.

But, get you that tach I posted earlier, and then you will see what rpm you are at now, then you can move forward.

Anytime you play with timing or jetting, always read your plug, it'll tell you what it wants.

I'm sure there's smaller sprockets that fit that.
Bolt pattern size, and center diameter is all you need.

Here's a quik and dirty piston stop I made in about 5 mins.

Jus cut the top off of a old plug, flip it over, use a punch and hammer to knock out the rest of the porcelain.

I used a 1/4" drive cordless impact to drive the bolt thur.

It don't have to be pretty, jus gotta stop the piston to make 2 marks on the flywheel.

However, my one wheel drive rim broke, so I won't be doing much to the engine till I get that figured out
