Any body seen this before? 4 hp engine , can a clutch be put on?????:huh:

Probably not directly, but some modification might allow for it.

What's it from?
What are the existing diameters?

Looks to me that someone made that crank shaft work for something else previously. Too bad that ruins them cranks for the next guy.

I bet you could change out that crank for pennies on the dollar!! It's really easy to do and we will help you locate the parts and guide you through it. That engine is well worth it. Looks like a Craftsman engine and come to think about it, I've seen that before. Strange set-up for sure!!

sorry, but the rest of the shaft is likely 3/4" correct?

Why not just add a spacer (keyed) to regain the diameter and make it a 3/4" shaft again?

Or a spacer, to lock the clutch, and use the the 3/4"part of the shaft. Unfortunately, the OP chose to only answer 1/2 of my question .
