Yes it does. Cleaned out the gas hoses so going to see if that starts it up because fuel still wasnt going into the carb.

Ah ok good, does that have any type of fuel pump? Or is it simply gravity fed?

Gravity fed. Re-cleaned the carb with the air compressor. A rock came out but still wouldn't even turn over.. No fuel is getting into the carb. Completely dry inside. Not to sure if all this looks okay but worth a try to just look in it. I'm also pretty sure all the hoses are were there suppose to be.

There's nothing blatantly wrong there, as long as the chain isn't flopping around or your rockers on top of the valve springs there. There should both go up and down as you crank it.

If no fuel is getting to the carb, you can rig something up to get it running and verify your engine runs. Some kind of bottle or another tank, a new, completely different line to the carb.

I do beleive your float or needle and seat inside the carb are the issue though.

Alright thanks. I'll try that out tomorrow. Thanks for helping me too:) Would i put the rigged gas line into the carb where the air filter would go? The screw on the bottom of the carb i screwed it out one turn. Should it be screwed in all the way?

No, hook it right to where the original line goes, then you will know if the problem is the carb or the tank/lines.

I'm unfamiliar with the carb you're using, I looked back through your pics in this thread but I can't really see it clearly.

Ok, I wasn't sure if that was your engine or not. That looks very similar to the carb on my new quad as well.

At the bottom, where the hose goes in, that metal piece should be held on with three Phillips head screws. Take them out, then you will have the float bowl separated from the carb. The float will stay on the carb, but that is the area that needs to be cleaned. I would suggest doing it over a towel or something, so any little parts don't bounce off into oblivion.

Go slowly, and be patient, but there really isn't much to it, as you'll see when you get it open.

Yeah. I opened up the whole thing. Everything on the carb was cleaned out and put back together.

It looks like a GY6 DOES use a fuel pump, I've circled an example from Google here, do you have something like that?

Ok, that's your fuel pump. According to some diagrams I found, it should have a line off it that has a "Y" type connector, one side goes to the intake, between the carb and the cylinder head, the other goes to the carb itself. Without that vacuum signal, it won't pump fuel correctly.

So i moved the thing i circled a few times and it started right up. Fuel started going to the carb but some how the gas started leaking out and out of the hole were the air filter goes but no gas in the carb now so wont start. When it did start it would run fine then killed the engine by itself.

It only hurts the drug-addled brain but a sober person sees this as a logical procession of troubleshooting. They are slowly verifying through the process of elimination. ;)

Better get some more, it's 1700 somewhere.
