So yesterday checked the oil and it was leaking out. drained it out. Needed to be drained anyways and put new oil. It idled for a little bit then died. Gas was also flooding the carburetor and gas comes out of the air filter. Tried it again and battery died after i just charged it. So going to try this again. Have the battery charging.

Watch your, uh, sentence structure because it just sounded like you ran the engine without oil. Maybe you did? It'll definitely stall without oil in it and it will never start again.

Sounds like this buggy is all kinds of jacked-up. What the heck is going on over there? Is this amateur hour?

Sounds like the battery is toast. Measure the voltage across the terminals (off the charger) and see if it holds a charge.

I think the guy who i bought this from fixes the go karts long enough to run for awhile because he sold a lady another go kart and her head gasket blew after a few minutes riding it. Took the gas out of the carburator. There was dirt in the over flow hose (if i didn't say that already) Would to much oil not make it run?

The engine won't turn over at all? My lawn tractor carb routinely floods the cylinder with fuel if I don't shut off the gas at the petcock.

Same symptoms; the starter will try to crank the engine but it cannot because the cylinder is flooded.

Yeah it won't turn over at all. It did rev up and start for a second then died out. After that won't start again. Not sure if what a circled should have gas in it because it did when i opened it up. The gas hose stops supplying gas to the carb when the engine shuts off.

I believe you have a stuck float. It's not rising and shutting off fuel flow into the bowl as needed.

You can try lightly tapping the carburetor where the fuel line goes in with something, but you'll probably need to pull it apart and clean it thoroughly.

If oyu wouldn't mind, could you get some up close pics of the steering setup where the wheel connects to the tie rods?

I did get the carb apart but didn't mess with much because i didn't want to mess with anything. I will take a close up for you as well. It makes really sharp turns which i like:) Also quick question.. Do i have to have a wet air filter on it? The dude was like demanding i dip the air filter in oil and never have a dry air filter.

It depends. A lot of air filters have two pieces; the inner rigid filter made of paper folded in an accordion fashion which may be sandwiched with wire mesh or perforated steel. The outer is a soft foam pre-filter that is typically oiled so it can trap dirt and dust particles.

Regular maintenance for the air filter assembly is to wash the pre-filter with soap and water (Dawn dish detergent works well), let air dry and oil it with fresh motor oil. Squeeze out the excess oil and reassemble.

Your setup may vary though.

Oh okay. Thanks about the air filter. Well i cleaned the air filter. Didn't find anything clogged up or anything. Put it all back together. The engine turned over once then died again. I'm pretty sure i have all the hoses where there suppose to go. Not really sure what else i could do.

Here's the picture. Hope this is good:)

Yes! Thank you very much.

Did you have gas pouring out of the carb and a wet plug still? DO you have any starting fluid you could squirt in there to see if it keeps it running?

Well seems like no gas is getting into the carb but i do smell gas and no leaking out of where the air filter goes. Will try the starting fluid tomorrow. If it does start like that what could it be?

If you can get it to fire and keep running by spraying starting fluid into through the carb into the engine, we will learn that you have spark sufficient to run, enough compression to run, and a fuel delivery problem.
