Got most of the drivetrain done. The hubs need nuts on them to keep them on the axle, but everything else is ready.

Only a few more things to do such as:
-Weld in rear part of the cage (after fabbing)
-Run a throttle Cable
-Hook up remote choke cable (Push-pull I installed next to the starter button)
-Install battery
-Reinforce front knuckle/spindle. It has a little slop that I want to eliminate.

It really is coming along now! I set her down on all 4 tires for the first time in who knows how long. Yes, I jumped in and made the motor noises :p

Pics!

Got this thing together. Wired it up and pushed the starter. Come to find out that the starter was shorting out on the case and needs a $20 part, plus rebuild.

I will be tearing it completely down to do a paint job by this weekend.

I will get the part in, rebuild the start, then do my final assembly.

This thing is still scaring me. :D

I trust my welds... I trust my 4 point harness.... I just dont think the weight to power ratio is within the "SANE" level haha.

If I stand on the back bumper, the front wheels get rather....LIGHT. Being solid axle will make this interesting too haha. The good thing is now that I have the battery in the front, the weight is a little more biased towards the front...which is where I need it at the moment.

I have been debating whether or not to melt some lead into the front tubing part of the frame hahaha

What's that famous quote? "We have nothing to fear, but death itself"? Roosevelt maybe? HAHAHAHA!!!

:funnypost::lolgoku:

Actually, the quote is "We have nothing to fear, but FEAR itself." and that was Franklin D. Roosevelt, not his Uncle, Theodore.

Really, Chris; for a citizen of Canada, you sure seem to like to use quotes from the U.S. side of the border.......:lolgoku::popcorn:

can you please turn your phone sideways before hitting the record button, so that the videos are recorded in widescreen instead of this evil annoying skinny vertical poop? (seriously, why do cameras even have the option of recording in this annoying format? someobody should have been fired the day they came up with that idea... so many people are clueless that all they had to do was turn the camera siedways BEFORE hitting the record button, and the camera would automatically switch to widescreen mode). otherwise, cool kart! :)
