Makes me really angry at people who claim to be on certain lists for things like that. I do it everyday, multiple times a day, and am not on any list... soo... I don't beleive that's how they got there either

Leaving all the bickering about Global Warming aside, the #1 reason I can see for cleaning up our collective act is because we're fouling our own nest. A couple of years ago, the World Health Organization reported that the Chinese Government itself admitted that ~70% of its fresh water reserves were poluted beyond even their own safety standards, let alone that of N.American or European countries. Who knows about Pakistan, India, etc.

Who wants to wager that the next global conflict will NOT be over clean drinking water?

That's what the World Bank has been saying for years. At least I know I'm in the right place lol. Maybe we can get them to plug that pipeline in Mackinaw.

It's worse that no one in Michigan benefits from it, it's just passing through.

I'm also not terribly happy about water being diverted to Waukesha.

...........I'm also not terribly happy about water being diverted to Waukesha.

Waukesha is still in the Great Lakes watershed (meaning the regional water cycle stays at least loosely intact). What concerns me is how the international bottled water companies are trying to get around the US/Canadian Great Lakes watershed management treaty so they can pump it here and ship it anywhere. (Apparently selling bottled water at four to eight times the price as the same amount of premium gasoline doesn't leave any margin for filtration system research; it must really suck to be going broke with so much money in the bank. Wish I had that problem........)

I brought that up also when the lady running for State Representative stopped by my home last weekend.

I only fear that Waukesha kind of opens the door

Okay i was digging through some old picture files and found these

First one is what it looked like in Suzhou China from my hotel window. I think there is a city below me. They are way worse then america in pollution. So no matter what we do were screwed because they are killing the earth.

Second one is funny. Saw this in peoples square in shanghai. I thought at first hmm nice umbrellas for sale, must be really old ones or something. Then someone told me that they are trying to sell off there kids for marriage! Each umbrella has the kids name, age, school degree, etc... i guess that's how they role. I'm not joking i just searched " shanghai marriage market" found tons of pics like mine :)
