150cc isn't much. 4-5HP. The CVT most likely makes up for the lack of power. I'm guessing semi-auto...

Overall it's nice, but $1000? That's quite high. QUITE high.

9.2HP to be exact. It has Electric Start , Automatic Drive System with Reverse Gear, 4-Wheel Hydraulic Braking and 4-Wheel Hydraulic Suspension and Lights. They go for $1300.00 normally

If it's $1000 for brand-new, that's not bad. It's a fully suspended kart with a 150cc motor rated at just under 9hp. My friend Ed's kart is similar, (with the same motor/cvt) and it would do 35mph with two adults in it. That's not too bad. The motor does well, just baby the heck out of it with clean filters. oil and gas. Ed's burned up because the mechanic he took it to for a tune-up didn't fill it back up with oil. Ed gave me the motor and even with all the abuse it had gone through, it would still start and run- just put out a thick cloud of smoke, though.
I think you got your money's worth. There's a lot of really bad jokes for around $600 that don't even compare to what you got.
The carb can benefit from a proper rejet for drivabilty reasons, but I think you'll be happy with it.
Look up "Ed's Black Terror of Death" and you'll see where he got it up to top speed and jumped it. Pretty neat.

Do yourself a favor and change the oil after 2 to 5 hrs running. You want that metal-shavings laden crap outta there as soon as possible. Then go with Mobile 1 after that. Ed's kart was quite impressive, considering we can barely pick the thing up- it moved really well.

Yeah, the guy said to break it in for the first 10 hours then change the oil. He was saying that there were a few returns because people were just running them straight outta the box without following the break in directions and messing them all up.

Peppy my best bud does the warranty work for Baja here in Oklahoma City and we have driven tons of the Baja products including one just like yours. I absolutely love the Kart that you have. I have driven the crap out of one up at the shop. Much cheaper than building one if you use top quality parts. However in my opinion the build is 95% of the fun. Nice Kart man have fun.

looks tike your back tire is on with the tread pattern facing the wrong way

Haha.. I see that you caught that too. The genius who assembled it at the store did that. He also put a couple of bolts in wrong. I was just out this morning rechecking and took the wheel off and turned it around. All I have to do now is change the packing oil, charge the battery, and break it in. Hopefully nobody in my neighborhood complains. I have a field that is part of the neighborhood that nobody uses so I hope to be able to have fun with it there because there is not to many open spots where I live. There is a place next to the hood that you can pay to run your offroad toys but I dont feel like payin

I still have the other kart that I got last week. Just got the sprocket in and put it on but the seems too tight now. The teeth sometimes land on the roller on the chain. It is the correct sprocket though. Maybe it just needs some break-in wear?? I ordered a new spindle set that I have to weld on the passengers side and I got some new tires also for it. The nice thing about this one is that it is a lot smaller than the other one. I think once I get some of my other projects out of the way, I would like to build a kart preferably with car parts if possible but keep it in a small package.
