...very informative

The top diagram specifies for the Shoulder Strap mounts ta be mounted 0*-10* below the drivers shoulder
...& a diagram down lower, shows the SS mounts being 0* - 20* below the drivers shoulder

Sitting in the seat of my racer, the drivers shoulders are ~8' above the back of the seat
...& from the back of the seat to the rear of the racer is ~12"

When I lined up ~10* angle (as suggested in the diagram)
...going downward from the drivers shoulders, toward the rear of the racer
...that "line" went "way out" behind the racer

I'ma thinkin'
...we don't want to mount the SS mount all the way back, at the far edge (not strong/sturdy enough)
...& we don't want to mount it right behind the seat/driver (too steep of an angle)

So, I'ma thinkin' maybe it would be best ta "split the difference" (Soloman)
...& mount 'em ~6" behind the seat/driver

Also, I "harvested" some Center (manually adjustable) Seat Belts, out of a couple of old Isuzu NPR parts trucks that I had/scrapped recently
...so, for now, we gonna do some testin' with a set of custom DIY 3-point Seat Belts

* Yes, I realize they don't qualify for use in an actual EA race
...but, should be adequate for some "home track testing"

A quick "note" (I forgot to add) about steering linkage adjustment
I always use standard nuts on the bolts during mock up & adjustment
...'cause they are easier to "put on & take off" quickly

But, before actual use, I switch the nuts to Loc-Nuts
...to reduce the possibility of the nuts vibrating loose

Also, after installing & adjusting the Brake Cable, I have found that
...using a cut-off wheel
...to cut off the excess cable
...is the fastest, easiest & provides the "cleanest" cut

Another "tip"
...after cuttin' "glue" the ends of the severed cable together

So, they can't fray (technical term)

Hand Controls
Brake Lever & Thumb Throttle

I "ran" the wire for The Thumb Throttle across the back side of the Steering Wheel
...& then, thru the rubber grommet, into the racer, along with the Brake Cable & Brake Light Switch wires

A ramification (side effect) of "running" the Thumb Throttle wires across the back side of the Steering Wheel was, now the wires don't "reach" all of the way back to the Speed Controller (~6" short)
...&/so, gonna have ta add an extension "piece"

I also, decided to "switch out" the flip up Steering Wheel mount for a standard solid mount
1.) we didn't seem to actually need the extra room, when the Steering Wheel was "flipped up"
2.) the Hand Controls "clashed" with the hood when "flipped up"
...& going to end up damaging (1) or both Hand Controls
...&/also, was (had already) damaging (a little spot on) the hood

I have a million ideas, for graphics, on this racer
...as currently it's a "blank canvass"

So, I drew up a hood (w/dimensions) in my notebook

Then/so, I could "try" many ideas
...without havin' ta draw a bunch of hoods (& embellishments)
...I made a bunch of copies

I saw this, at the Jeep Fest drone show
...& think it's super kool
...& gonna try-n-incorporate it, on the racer

* This is the "official" Ohio 250 celebration logo
...& as such is "copy-writed"

So, "we" have to make one that is custom & "our own"
...& I think it should have USA on it

Maybe most prominent...even
...maybe something like one of these
