Hey T,

That "is" the beauty of workin with this MDF wood based material

This MDF material is very stable
...easy ta work with
...holds fasteners pretty well
...& don't produce any splinters

* I challenge ya ta get ya a sheet of 1/2"
...& play with it
...or make...somethin'

** You can thank me later :cheers2:

Now back ta our regularly scheduled programmin'... :wai:

Preppin' the base for bondin' ta the "hump"
SAM_6917 (2).JPG
Bondin' the "hump" to the mid-section/base
* I also, used (4) 1 1/2" drywall screws
...(1) on each corner
...ta "double secure the "hump ta base" junction/connection :)
SAM_6919 (2).JPG
Then, added/installed/glued in some "fillet" material
...around the perimeter of the hump
SAM_6921 (1).JPG
I used some "gravity clamps" (bricks) ta help keep the "fillet" pieces nice-n-tight ;)

This is what frustrates me about MDF, as long as I can see brown on the edge, it is not sealed. And with just paint it will ALWAYS show brown.

Close up of the corner (before sealin')

...& extended/lengthened the back wall

This year I'ma workin' on
...installin' the rest of the framework
...the roof
...a 1/2 front wall
...& extend the floor area, a bit, too

Roofs are kinda important glad you’re finishing it up. What about the roof on the house?
Hey Denny,

Mother Nature kinda beat up on it as well :ack2:

We had a pretty good/bad/strong "wind event" a couple of months ago
...& a couple of panels (that hadn't gotten all of their screws installed)
...got pealed up & off
SAM_6976 (2).JPG
They made a "hellofa racket" (like Winter wanted in...real bad) for half the night o_O

A couple got bent up...pretty goodly/badly
SAM_6977 (2).JPG
Some others got bent up
...& "scuffed" from gettin' beat' against the existing roofing material
SAM_6986 (2).JPG
I'ma just gonna replace all of these damaged panels
...a couple of hundred bucks..."down the drain"

My own "DANG" fault :mad2:

* Note to self:
Always install ALL of the screws
...in EVERY panel
...even if it starts raining & cold & windy

* Did ya notice the "brush marks"?

I used the brush on Rustoleum Appliance Epoxy paint
...because this section is so big
...& to see if this "brush on" version gives better coverage ;)
SAM_6971 (2).JPG
I also, noticed that this "brush on" version has different re-coat times
...than, the spray on version
