I admire your work. I am not surprised no.1 got nicked. Only one thing- why dont you add some padding to the seat?

Thanks for compliments guys... They are appreciated.

Yes... Those are from a 90cc chinese 4 wheeler. Difference between this one and the original is that I made custom long travel a-arms for the orig. But, the more I think about it, I'll probably make custom long travel for this one too(1 1/2 inches longer lol).

By the way, Happy Thanksgiving!!

Thanks teamcheap! Original was stolen from my garage(new construction, hadn't moved in yet) along with my rhino. Date was July 22.

Well... We came down to Baton rouge to spend thanksgiving with my wifes family and ended up having our child 6 weeks early. A healthy(for a premi) baby boy.

Sooo.... It will be a week or two(possibly 3) before I can get back to the cruiser(wife wants me to finish it).

Congrats on the child.
That should keep you busy for a while.

I cant wait to see the 2nd version very nice work I love it.

thanks for the congrat's fellas. We finally came back up to bama on friday... good to be home. I got a chance to work on the cruiser alittle bit this weekend. Alittle tougher than i thought, but my wife has been fantastic. no pics to share, unfortunately.

r chez... i forgot to answer your question: i won't put padding on the seat b/c it's really not that bad. if i were riding it for hours at a time, i would probably put padding on there though.

i managed to tach the front suspension, so it's now holding itself up in the front. the more i look at it though, the more i don't like it. I hate to do it, but i believe i'm going to re-do the a arms.. extending them out 1 or 2 inches and then flip the rims so that the rim is closer to the a arms(won't be as much spindle showing either).

pics:

EDIT: forgot to thank BigHead for the compliment... Thanks BigHead!!

had a chance to work out in the shop today.. so, i took advantage of every minute.

got the front steering mounted, and welded the front end completely. only thing left is tie rods:

also got the rear swingarm mounted and welded up. there is a strut in there for now... also put a wheel/tire on the back to show where the spare is going:

still on the list of things to do:
1. tie rods
2. wire the engine/starter
3. shorten wheel hubs
4. body panels(still undecided)
5. paint the back rims black

You forgot-

6. Rig up the remote receiver and servos/actuators, and
7. Fab up a scale stadium truck body.
8. Ship to toystory_4wd for extensive beta testing/QC evaluation...

Beautiful build so far!!!

EDIT-

6 1/2. Install LoJack.
