buggy go kart thing with overpriced cm250 engine

ok arfter a year on this site and gathering enoght knowlege to start a build i scavanged a quad bike for a slap of carlton dry and an engine for $600AUS then started in our school workshop
please point out any flaws or issues in the design
this is my front end and steering

i gotta ask is this going to be too long at nearly 2.4 m(7.8 feet)

its the same stiffness as a quad bike
the sensativity may be an issue
bugger bout the length i guess i am going to have the engine right behind me
and put in a fire wall
how thick is a fire wall

As thin as you want, in a kart it's basically just a heat shield because in the event of a fire you should be able to jump out before it burns through even 1.6mm sheet.

thatll make it too wide as it only has a 1m width
i think i can move the engine forward a bit
i had it siting about 40cm behind to protect me from heat and stop the enginge over heating
