This is my project I've been working on for a while, it all started when I picked up an engine for $25.

Then I got it all stripped down.

Then I ordered some performance goodies.

Modified an old pull choke carb to flow better.

Did some porting and cut the eyebrows, and picked up a smaller lighter flywheel.

Went to town on the frame, and stripped off everything I wasn't going to leave stock.

Got to the point where I am now, welded up a swingarm and a 2 stage header.

Hope that isn't too many pics.

man what a great build up so far it looks like you are going to town on the kart cannot wait to see the finish work on it great job so far.

Where did you get the engine?

What did you do to the carb?

I got the engine from an equipment rental place. They had a whole shed full of old I/C and Honda GX engines they weren't using. On the carb, I removed the swirl, and took out the pull choke assembly. I sanded and polished the bore to get a bit more diameter, then cut out the bar that held the air cleaner from the air horn. Finished up by using the end of the choke as a plug, then used some epoxy to ramp and shape the air horn. Added on a steel cup with some rubber as a filter adapter, and a bellcrank throttle linkage.
Made a small amount of progress today.Welded up some spots that Manco half-assed, then added some gussets to the top and bottom where there were two parallel tubes.

By the way, this began as a Manco White Fox II kart, like this one.

Added two more frame members, capped off some open tube, started on the front end, and narrowed the seat.

I'm estimating 8-9HP. On gas.
