That's some cool stuff there. Could you possibly get pics of the engine?

I have several of the 49cc engines, i like them because they are really easy to get more power out of, But what i don't like is they are made from cheap parts/ and metals. The rings snap easily, and the pistons seem to get chewed up pretty easy also. Do you use the stock carb? It would be awesome if you could get a few pics of the expansion pipe too. I dont hate the engines, but they are cheap.

I think I have a couple of video's about, which soon. Yes, stock carb. This is a link to the exact engine we use:
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Engine-for-Go-Kart_W0QQitemZ330297582756QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Go_Karts?hash=item330297582756&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66:2|65:1|39:1|240:1318

Ours are fitted with electric start, however. I don't have any great pictures about, and it's stored at school so I can't get some. I do have this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EL23Ot0QXjU (0:21 when vehicle becomes visible). This is both pedal and motor on the front straight. Shot by a team-mate with a 5mp camera...can you tell?

I think since the clone aftermarket is still in its infancy, that there's lots of room to improve upon. Stock B/S flatty vs clone? Clone makes more hp right out of the box from the same cc's.

:iagree:

A Honda Clone with the right gearing will get you 50mph or more.

OHV breathes better than flathead. It sounds better also. I rev the sht out of my clone and it takes it all. Get the Honda Clone, and you will be very happy.

You realy would have the rev the "sht" out of a stock clone to get 50 mph!
...or gear it like I did with the Lowrider... 47mph with just a cent clutch and holding the gov. open with my hand. (motor was well under 5000 rpm.) I can't imagine what one of those uni air filters, a header, and a good rejet of the stock carby would accomplish. Maybe 50mph with the same set-up.
