Is this isht regulation?

I know the fender is a cheap plastic reproduction but it looks so small. And so far away from the tire. It looks bad to me when forward. Looks bad flipped around.

Don’t pay any mind to the front wheel being backwards. I just didn’t want to pull the spacer from the brakes yet.

Got to try to find this spacer.
I think it’s 29mm long.
It’s got to be around here somewhere.
Otherwise I guess 3/4” OD 1/2” ID tube cut to length for the 12mm axle.

Oh and this is what?
A mechanical speedometer gear drive thing?
I haven’t really thought about it until now.

I see the monkey bike headlight assembly has a built-in speedometer spot.

I wasn’t planning on using a Honda style assembly, but it is pretty cool.

I just came across this and was wondering what it came from. I guess it’s my speedometer cable. Not really sure how it works. My front tire is bigger than stock I think… I think the 10” rim is bigger than stock too. I’m not sure the stock sizes. lol

17” = 4.45’ circumference
15” = 3.93’ circumference

Off by 13% percent if it’s not adjustable.

A few pots of coffee later and I think a gy6 TaoTao 50cc scooter and 150cc shortcase scooters have 3.5-10 tires and a 12mm axle.

So maybe I could put one of those gear sets from on my bike. I think this would be geared for the correct size tire. Unless I have it wrong and gears inside the actual speedometer are what’s used to set it up for a particular tire size.

The deeper down the rabbit hole I go while wearing a speedo…. That’s not correct.

I’ve read many of those TaoTao speedos are wrong. Possibly all are geared for 13” wheels.

Looks like 9T and 17T is what I would need.
Ive read the 8” wheels have 7T and 15T.
That seems to be correct to offset the 13% increase in tire circumference.

4.45’ x (17/9) = 8.4
3.93’ x (15/7) = 8.4

I guess I don’t need any other spacers.
It does seem like I’m missing a seal or sumthing between the wheel and speedometer drive gear assembly. Or maybe I don’t have the fitment correct?

In the nature of not buying more stuff…

There is already an oil seal in the speedometer drive gear assembly. Maybe that is all I need. It looks like it is missing something.
