Do you know if the rear axle is just a threaded rod? Would that work?

My friend may be interested in the parts bike, I figure I could atleast get it somewhat together...

Alright, is the engine on this thing 6.5 or 5.5? I looked up the manual and it said it had a 5.5... I though for sure it was 6.5...

the older models were 5.5.

i wouldnt use a threaded rod as an axle. i did once and it didnt work well at all.

Well... it was fun while it lasted...

I think Ive encountered a problem similar to what happend to you... Ill take it apart later, too hot out for this nonsense... worst part was it did it at the bottom of my driveway...

I didnt see any date on the cover, unless it got scratched off... I checked the other motor but someone slapped a sticker on it...

well im off to make a clutch cover.

mines a piece of crap. finally fell off again and got run over, cracked it apart....

things on baja heat/warrior that NEED to be redesigned!

-clutch cover
-fake gas tank welds
-headlight mount
-throttle return spring
-jackshaft key weak?
-brakes are terrible

oh and the mods that i think are almost a must....

-better exhaust
-tune for lower idle
-take out throttle stop screw
-move the governor spring on the governor arm holes to get higher rpm's
-add a bolt into the crankshaft to secure clutch on

always remember the basic maintenance

-oil changes
-oil clutch
-oil chain
-clean air filter foam

now i got to find a kickstand spring.. lol

make a sweet pipe for the bike thing. you can get them to sound really throaty and like a huge engine.

I would... except I dont have any decent pipe handy...
and our welder aint usable yet, but my brother has one I could probably use... I think Ill leavit it alone for now, soon it with have about double hp, should be fun.

Do you think I could get away with gearing it a little but higher and still have plenty of power with the 11hp?

definately. im sure you can get a 12t to replace the 10t and it will still have alot of power with the 6.5.

Might have to do that then...

I painted the fake tank and rear fender a shade of green... I was bored...
was gonna see about fitting the 11hp on the other frame, but its got those stupid allen head bolts in it...

If I unhook the rod from the gov. arm to the carb would it get higher rpms?

i wouldnt mess with the rod, just the spring that pulls back the arm...

i have to...

make a spring mount for the kick stand
fix the fake gas tank
get a new brake cable
make a clutch cover

and making the brakes better is something in the future.

i would love to get a TC. but dont wanna throw 200 bucks into something i can barely ride as it is. i have no yard for it. and no trails to go atm.

lets see some pics of yours!

The spring that pulls them back... I have no idea...
I think I need a picture... If you dont mind?

Unhooked a spring, but it apparently connects the throttle lever... I may be a lil bit confused.

Ill try to get pics soon, cant at the moment untill the other comp is hooked up.

like the throttle arm is connected to the governor arm with a spring. if you move it into a hole that creates more tension it will give you more rpm without removing the governor or changing any throttle setups... cant get a pic tho because i would have to take the tank off, and i lost my 10mm socket and a new one still hasnt come in the mail....

if it works now and your happy dont change it.

if you got an extra motor you can screw around...

Theres a 1, 2, and 3 on the gov. arm... its on the 2. Now, would it be ... a good idea to break out the drill and make another hole?

I do infact have another clone from the parts bike...
:devil2:
