Baja 200 update

I've done a lot of stuff to this bike with more to come.
Made up a bracket for carrying a dog, water, extra gas and whatever else I want to travel with that doesn't fit in the fake tank.

Glued carpet to the tank for the other dog to sit with me. She loves it!
Replaced original brakes with honda replacement. Still a bit squeeky, but not as bad as it was. I have an idea to eliminate travel squeeking.

Installed GTC torque converter.
Removed throttle screw.
This thing boogies!

Installed higher quality chain.
Customized the seat adding springs to the rear. (much better ride)
Removed chain tensioner from the original jack plate, made a bracket, and mounted it using the kickstand bolt.

Adjusted throttle grip for better control.
Gave the camo paint job a face lift. (almost done)
Added the dog's name who thinks the bike is hers.

I have a Mikuni carb, rearward adapter and air filter on the way!
As of right now this bike is able to go faster than I ever would want to go on our primitive dirt roads.

I picked up a backhoe with a gannon to make the roads smoother for an even better ride. (This little hobby is getting expensive)

At some point I might get all of the billet stuff, and bigger springs etc. And possibly an exhaust.
I may just hang on to that stuff when I can afford it, and build up a new predator on the side to install later.
I'd also like to come up with a way to change the rear brake to disc, and make a toe pedal.

That's a skip loader not a backhoe. My dad has three or four of them. Three case one john Deere. I like them a lot for doing road work. Learning to adjust the cutting blade on the box scrapper make all the difference when trying to level.

Very true, I'm still learning.
I wrote backhoe because people use it interchangeably, and using skip loader sometimes confuses.

Now that we're done with that, what about my bike man?

The holster was custom formed by myself for a LLama .45 1911.
dammedest thing, I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn with it, so I got rid of it.
On my rides, a S&W M&P 9mm takes its place.
The odd match makes the 9 fit nice and snug.

Thanks! She's a purebred Jack Russell.
The Good Lord willing, we plan to breed her with another Jack we just got a few months ago.
But we'll wait until she's about two years old.

Mikuni carb installed today.
I'm pretty certain now that if you cracked the throttle too fast, the bike would be down the road, and you'd be sitting on the ground.

The carb is the VM22. The Gov gets bypassed in the install.
The only other mod expensewise was the TC.
Between the two, add About $350 to the bike. So all in all, I guess I'm about at $1100 altogether.

Shouldn't bypass the gov... Remove it entirely, or keep it stock...
The gear inside will break and potentially cause a motor failure...

There is nowhere to hook the gov up on the Minuki. I would have otherwise, but I doubt I'll ever take it to top end, so I'm not too worried about it coming apart.
Besides, as I understand it, with stock springs and valves, they will float well before anything blows up, including my plastic flywheel.

But....you HAVE to crack open the engine and COMPLETELY remove the governor...the flywheel is fine...that's just fan blades that are plastic....

When completely removing the gov, aren't you also removing the oil slinger?

The gov is a seperate gear inside with weights..... its plastic with a few metal bits....
It will work when the arm is off on the outside.... but will spin till it explodes....

No gov no springs, new springs new rod......as the new saying is.....
