That's a good question, what exactly is that crap in a magic 8 ball?

IDK, but I've found it makes a poor substitute for Coca-Cola as a bourbon mixer.

On the upside....if you accidentally swallow the little white die....you can see your future in the toilet later on...

Nope, Sorry but Santa Claus, Christmas trees, Presents, and Miseltoe have absolutely NOTHING to do with any of the 5 major world religions.
So Merry Christmas Nick!

Shower door Caulking

Poboy
I need to seal the shower doors on my kids bathroom. I have recaulked it 2 or 3 times.:censored: Even removed the frame cleaned and resealed. But it keeps leaking.:surrender: These are the type with the aluminum frame and the bottom roller sits atop the tub. It keeps leaking between the tub and the aluminum door roller frame.
In your experience what is the best type of Caulking to use?

Problem is it is nearly 60" across, and it does not screw down to the tub. So the sealant or Caulk is what holds/glues it down, along with some side pressure where it attaches to the uprights.

I have always used DAP tub and tile caulk...(no caulk gun needed) and never had any issues. If the surface is clean it should be good for at least 10 years.

You might spray a little brake cleaner on a rag and wipe it down first. What did you use?

We used dap tub and tile. That stuff in the red tube no caulk gun.
We fulley removed the frame scaped all the old crap off, cleaned it real well. Dried out the tub with a big fan for all day, then sealed it all and waited like 2 days to dry before anyone could shower. It ended up leaking worse than before. Now I need to do drywall repair too.

Have you heard of Something called VULKEM 116polyurethane sealant. I use it outdoors to seal furnace flue vent to flashings. It is some good stuff.

Not that exact polyurethane, but I have used polyurethane caulk in commercial applications for many years. Very tough stuff. A bit messy though, but if it doesn't work, you have a different problem than just caulking.

Any chance you could post up a pic or three of that bottom track and side rails?
