Anyone recognize this type of Axle?

Seems fairly heavy duty compared to a lot of the stuff I've seen online trying to figure out anything about this Kart. I'm assuming the double flanged piece should slide off the axle rod? Bearings underneath maybe?

My apologies Hellion, I figured it out, a couple minutes too late. Additional pictures attached. Original post was just asking if anyone recognized the Kart.

No worries.

Looks like a buggy more than a traditional kart. The lines get blurred when things like that become more of an ATV thingamabob. Maybe Chinese (ugh). Someone will have an idea.


EDIT: you'll get better assistance if you roll that thing out of that cluttered garage and into some natural light and away from all that junk and stuff in the background.

Nope, that hub in the pic is designed for 1WD setups, not live axles.

Not really. A buggy usually just has suspension and is bugger than a kart

To me, the very limit of a go kart is Dingo/AmEx 2.0 style front sprung spindles.
Anything more than that suspension wise I classify as a buggy or mini buggy.

Does this look like it was intended to be keyed, but was welded instead to you guys? I'm replacing the chain and belt, possibly the brake disc, and was going to go ahead and disassemble/clean the rest up and check/replace the bearings as well, not that I've tried very hard at this point, but kind of stuck right here for now. Going to take the other side apart tonight and see if it looks the same. I'm assuming this is the rear axle hub and it's going to need to be removed to replace the brake disc, there's no give or slide in it at all with a gear puller so not sure how to proceed.
