Hi
Been browsing the site and thought it was time to register.
I'm looking at getting a kart for a project that I've wanted to do for a very long time. I finally have some space and figured its about time. Found a couple of karts for sale as well as a couple of bikes for a drivetrain. Once I get them and get things going, I'll start posting pics or start a build thread.

:cheers2:

I grew up in NC but now live in PA. the first time I said "North Cackalaki" my wife thought I was making it up.

Lol... It's the equivalent to Aussie...

It's like a slang local term used ONLY by the resident or previous resident. Someone that has never lived here, just dont 'seem' right hearing 'Cackalkian' from them...

What part NC Tig?

Might as well say Hope Mills... But technically, Fayettenam/Fort Bragg.

I posted two more posts with pictures and also replying to Half and Metal and they are not here.
It said something about having to go through a moderator first. I figured it would have been OKed by now.

The first one is my kart of choice but he's asking $600 and is firm.
The other one is a pretty decent kart, its in rough shape and not sure if it even runs. No biggie. It is HUGE, its gotta be 6' long. Its got an 11hp Honda motor. The seat is offset from the steering wheel. I think I could get it for around $250
I may end up paying a little more for a more complete and running kart. It comes with a stand and body as well and has a racing clutch.
We'll see what happens Saturday.

Is that a good interesting or a bad interesting? Hah
I'm going to see both of them tomorrow. It doesn't seem like there's much interest in either. I'm hoping the blue one will be flexible on the price, if not I may have to pass and grab the Frankenstein mobile.
We'll see.
I'll be back with info and updates.

Interesting as in... that first kart (blue), if it runs, I'd think that was more a better buy/frame/setup... the other one... 250$ is an 'ok' -ish... but I personally aint feeling it. It evidently has been neglected considerably n 'cut-up'... just me personally a 'Frankenstein' kart is only good for the creator.... or parts. never know if they cut/measured properly(I should know I just finished Frankensteining Lo-T).

IMO the first one is a 'better' deal... unless your 'looking' for more work than necessary.

...also... I found the mention of the word 'firm'(as far as price)... tends to 'weaken' over time... but Im a patient person... and I allow "Karma" plenty of room to do her thing... so a 'deal' that I miss(talking bout CList) is just fate steppin in n telling me "naw... you dont want that one... something better will come round and itll blow that last deal outta the water!" I try not to let things that I cant control, bother me, when they work against me... I got enough grey hairs!)

 we'll see how tomorrow goes for ya!
