sounds LOUD but ok.. needs a muffler..

if I had it to do over I would buy the $20 one that uses the screw in briggs muffler .750 threaded one you know...

I actually saw a guy over on Bob's loose some power from intake/exhaust mods. Personally, thats the best thing I've done to my Subie. I hear that RLV mufflers actually get you some power power too.

It might not be a matter of back pressure, but many of these pipes are known to run better with the RLV. Whether it be because they are tuned to work with it or something else, they do.

They like to breath... heres a test to see if YOU like back pressure... breath through a straw for half a hour... lol.

Im sure if the pipe is built right it will give more power increase.. one question is the pipe bigger then the exhaust port? if it is the exhaust might be loosing velocity.

2 strokes do, correct?

Try again. 2 strokes like the pressure wave created by a properly tuned pipe, to force unburnt fuel back into the chamber. Just backpressure by itself doesn't help, and isn't the same thing.

Kenny's got a good point, meyby you'll need to rejet to realise its full potental.

I'm not sure what all mods your engine has but I'd think Box Stock headers are designed for a completly stock engine besides air filter/rejetting.

As far as you noticing any improvement, I know kart racers that have tryed out serveral diferent model headers in hopes of just shaving a 10th of a second off their lap times... Without the stop watch, I doubt they'd notice any diference either.

Could be you need a little port work to get the most out of that header. On my genuine Honda GX240, about 15 minutes with some tootsie rolls made a LOT of difference. I suspect a clone may be even more so. ;)
